Getting too big and too tall

Hi all,

As much as I love watching my baby grow big and strong as we all do, quite simply this plant is too big now and can be seen by prying eyes which is a big concern.

Short of chopping down this beauty and stripping it bare, is there any way to 'trim' it effectively so as to still encourage flowering but decrease its visibility? Bit worried the white hairs have just started too so it won't be ready for a good couple of months I imagine.

You could dig a hole in your back yard, that would take a foot or more down. Then gently tie the branches down. If she continues to be a monster then you could hide her with some other potted plants/trees.

You could try some fake plastic clip on flowers to try make it look like a different plant from afar ( still be obviously weed up close tho)

Get some heavy objects. Space them around your pot. Bend each branch over to the desired height, and tie it off the the heavy objects. Use a loose loop on each branch to avoid strangling the branch. Sometimes the branches are rigid and need to be adjusted several times to get them to the desired height. Keep bending them until about half way through flowering.

If none of the other suggestions work, you better start snappin branches and tying stuff down. I would only do this if the branches are too tough to tie down as is. Or you could lay it down on its side on top of some hogwire in some fashion.

That's really funny but it looks like it just might work. I have the same problem since mine are in my garden with tons of other plants I am just going to tie them down. Thanks for the giggles.

Agreed -- Maybe invest $100 at a local Home Depot or something to get some big trees to put right next to it.

I'd try to spread the branches and tie them down as lower as possible.
