Did I tell you guys I ordered worms? lol...Got some worms in the soil that's cooking, and the SBA clones / Fruity Chronic Juice in the veg tent got potted up in the mix I 'made'. They seem to be doing a little better than the previous set of clones that were basically in ocean forest (couple minor amendments), so apparently the soil is decent. I'll post pics of the veg tent tonight, w/ some bud shots of what's been harvested so far.

I just grabbed 2 random buds from the top of each jar for the pics...Not the best quality images, still got this shitty phone

Of the 3, GG3 is definitely the most potent / best high (4 ppl tried all 3 and we all agree, gg3 is the winner), the SBA has the longest high and the densest buds by far (same amount of jars filled, but weighs significantly more), and the CSS had the largest buds of the group on average. To get an accurate description of the flavors / smells it'll take some more time in the jars. The CSS is a great smoke too, but I pulled it kinda late so it got a little sleeper on me...not a big fan of that intense lethargy.
GG3 is exactly the high I've been looking for. Racy af, mind going 100. Couldn't be more satisfied - just curious to see how GG1 compares when it finally comes down.

PS: I half assed the css trim job lol. Gonna go back through and manicure it this weekend.

Veg tent is down to 3 SBA clones and 1 Fruity Chronic Juice (fcj?). FCJ is in the middle on the group shot.

The flowering tent is still pretty full. 3 girls chopped, 1 remains from the first set. Got 3 gg3's several weeks into flower, 2 gg1's also several weeks in, the original GG1 starting week 11, and an SBA on it's first week in flower. Gonna take GG1 down this weekend and pick up some more jars.

Can't believe those worms lived getting delivered to Michigan in winter. They were all balled up together to keep warm or summ, all spindly n shitty looking at first. Couple days later they're real active, fattened up and going to work. In the first few days they kept trying to escape for some reason, but I just stuck a light above the bin and they all made their way down into the dirt. Now they're staying in there without the light. Gonna drop a shit load of fan leaves in there w/ em and cover it up w/ a thin layer of soil tonight (pre trimming GG 1's fans for a Saturday harvest).

How is trimming dry? Thinking about hanging those 7' branches for a while before spending several hours with them. Not looking forward to that 1. There's 4 of the NBA player branches plus a dozen 3.5-4 footers... :-? Think I should get them done before they dry?

btw GG1 has some funky ass calyxes. Swelled way more than anything I've ever seen and oddly shaped compared to the others. idk i'll try n get some pictures of it. They don't look seeded, they looked very elongated and cylindrical rather than the tear drop shape...idk maybe the GG3 smoke was getting to me

You should try trimming dry to see if you prefer it. I prefer doing the final trim after they're dry. I give them a rough haircut before hanging, then do the closer trimming when they're dry. I find the smaller sugar leaves are easier to almost brush off when they're dry. Some swear by trimming wet, personal preference item I think.

Looks fine to me. Bag appeal is for shops, I'm more concerned with how much time it takes to roll one, to crumble bud. In a famous ol' dutch song about growing netherweed they sing the leaves gives you headaches and one should smoke the calyxes only. That was outdoor grown though, nowadays removing all the sugar leaves is often a waste of good product.

I do the same thing, basically prevent large leaves from covering the entire bud, get some airflow, trim the tips of the large sugar leaves or smaller fans, a roughy haircut. Dried with leaves ime always tastes and smells better. I'm pretty sure hanging the entire plant upside down including all leaves and leave it for 2-3 weeks is the best way, the rest is more convenience, prevent mold or simply dry and sell it asap. Depends on the season too, if it's humid I trim it small, had mold once during drying and it's such a waste so better safe than sorry.

I used to do my guerilla outdoor that way to slow down the drying a bit but also had dedicated rooms and many plants at harvest so it was also a matter of work-load/timing. I'd dry them then bring in the trimmers to do it all in one shot. Never really noticed a huge difference in taste/smell between the two methods. The pain in the butt for outdoor was sometimes having to pull them when they were still very wet (short season, cold or even snow during harvest the odd time). Even then though they'd go into a drying rooms as-is, I'd just crank the fans for the first couple of days. Yeah, definitely a time to pay attention and focus on drying/curing, it can make or break a haul, shame to go a few months and have it all mold on you :(

As we established earlier in I think this thread it's important to try out different methods to see what works best for your particular setup. I think the main advantage for leaving leaves on in my case is that I can still put the exhaust on full power without it turning into hay within days. The buds I do trim clean and small I dry in a box or small closet with far less extraction (I aim my flower closets intake at it but don't actually attach it, this sucks the odor in the flower closet, through the carbon filter). So point is, it's a bit of a balancing act and that balance can be reached in multiple ways. Some of the better bud (hazy) I've grown tastes and smells pretty good after just a day quick drying in the sun or w/e, while less good genetics (blend indicas) always get that hay smell a little during drying whether I dry fast or slow.

For sure, there's a lot of factors to weigh depending on you situation, things like how dry or humid your area is can affect how you go about it. There's no cookie cutter approach or "best" method for everyone, you have to adapt your methods to your environment and fine tune it for your specific setup/needs.

I will go w/ your guys' advice and try it out for myself to see how it works. Right now it's absurdly dry in my area so I'm having a hard time not drying them out too quickly. I've added a humidifier directed towards the intake of the drying tent, and lowered the outtake/exhaust fan speed to try and reduce the drying speed but they are still drying faster than what's ideal. Oddly enough though everybody said the smoke has been smooth (and none of it is fully cured o_O)...

I've hit another oddity w/ this grow as well...So I was under the impression sativas were much more racy / head high rather than stony / couchlock, but all of my testers have reported back an intense body buzz from GG1 (pulled one smaller branch for samples)...one guy, I shit you not, said he fucked his old lady for the longest he ever has and attributed it to the GG1. He said he literally couldn't feel his dick. I didn't have a response to that...

Is it possible that I waited too long on GG1 even though I'm still seeing clear / cloudy and no amber? The calyxes are buldging out more than anything that's ran through my tents so far, to the point I'm a little concerned if I leave it longer it's gonna throw out nuts and try and pollinate itself...it is coming down tomorrow, so it shouldn't be a big deal, but it's really odd to me that this very sativa dominant, possibly landrace sativa, is giving people an intense body buzz / stone...whatcha think??

Also thought they went for a lot longer, but this is only week 11...
