GG4 in trouble

Hey guys, I’m hopping for a good insight on possible issue and solutions. I’ve grown GG4 for some time, last two harvest they have had issues. My feeding schedule remained relatively unchanged, but leaves keep turning yellow and eventually die out, buds are smaller and so is the yield. I have suspicions it has to do with Mg deficiency, yet cannot fully grasp why would it develop in past two growth cycles. I didn’t change nutrient brands. The leaves on pic, I took out today and they are in week 4. Last growth cycle started to show yellowing and major leave dying by starting week 2 into 5.
It be most wonderful to get your thoughts on it

Can you post up pictures of the whole plant.. it helps for diagnosis..

What are using for soil.. ?what is your feeding/watering schedule?

I grow in Grodan, I water them once in 1-2 days depending on how fast they eat it ;$)
I try to maintain ph on the way in at 5.5-5.7
Ppm at week 4 is around 1100-1200
Lights are Govita 1000w (2)
Temperature inside around 74
CO2 is around 900ppm

I will take pictures of the whole plants tomorrow.

oh and the leaves tend to start yellowing from the inside to outside, with some brown/rusty spots, eventually curls up and die. Stock of the plants develops some red stripes (will take pics).
I use SBA&SBB for base nutrients.
Will snap a picture of my feed schedule tomorrow.

You didn't change the nutes but did you change anything else? temp, co2, lights?

Have you brought a new batch of of the same nutrients? Have you checked the root zone, check under your grodan block to see if all the roots coming out are white and healthy.
Also any chance you have more plants in the same space this time ?
Check your root temps and feed temps.

yes nutrients are the same, but I kinda noticed after covid hit production infrastructure, potency of nuts became a bit questionable. Hard to check under grodan, they are in pots, I’ve attached pic of the top. But when I do harvests and take them out of pots, roots do not look too healthy, a bit brown and definitely not white. Right now they look decent.

what do you use for healthy root development and maintenance? I use Great White (premium mycorrhizae) throughout all grow cycles and Heavy Roots till week 5. Anything else you can recommend instead or as a complementary to them?
As far as space use, usually I have 15 plants on a 4x8 table under 2 govita 1000w lights.

I do not have device to check root temp in grodan, can you recommend one?

Also I definitely fight a war with Gnats, I cannot rid my garage from them, so I maintain their population with yellow stickers and deluged peroxide flush.

Also I’m not happy at all stocks turning red, table next to it is in week 2,5 and stock is green, with light light stripes of red, table in week 4,5 top stocks are all red.

I don't mean to question your ability to identify pests, but some people mistaken Gnats for adult root aphids, just incase.. Do you calibrate your ph meter often?

You could be (I feel like you are) right about this little fuckers, because yes I saw them crawling in roots before. I was assuming that they were Gnats in early stages, and on yellow stickies they are small black with white wings bustards.

But what I just read, throwing out infected plants isn’t an option for me, because I grow in garage, where I have tables on different cycles, one on week 0, one on week 2, one on week 4 and so on.

ph meter I calibrate at least once every 1-2 month.

Any advice or suggestions on fighting or controlling them? As I said I use diluted peroxide, it helps to lower their presence, yet after a few weeks they appear again.

You definitely got me excited to cause a genocide asap on them…. Have you had experience with Nuke ‘Em or BotaniGard ES?

Yeah I've used botanigard es, you want the plants to dry back to where they need to be watered and then use the BG with just water, no ph no nothing, flush them real real good, let them dry back a bit but not too much, then feed as normal. do that 2 or 3 times a week apart. Another thing you can do, if you can soak the complete root ball (maybe by placing the pot into another pot with plastic?) you could use spectracide triazicide from Home Depot if they have it in stock (its seasonal) or from amazon probably, Ive used it at 2 ounces per gallon for an hour soak without an issue and it was a one and done. If you can't soak the rootball like that you could probably water it in over the course of a few days, like an ounce per gallon and use it every feeding for 2-3 days.

Thank you for your insight, not to be lost in translation when you say - “do that 2 or 3 times a week apart”, do you mean 2 or 3 times per grow cycle (8-9 weeks) with one week in between application?

I cannot soak them, because they are on a table with trailers on top, so I would not be able to raise them.

I also wonder it would be probably good to do the application of BG even to the newly placed pots….. cause those twats will get on them too.

What about this advice for BG use, file attached.
