gh go organic nute set okay for hempy bucket?

hey ('m planning on doing a small grow with 5 gallon hempy buckets and i want to use the organic line of general hydroponic nutrients. Does anyone know if the smell will become a problem in the bucket, and since the water just sits at the bottom of the bucket, what are the chances of fungus or mold building up in there. Do you think that if i kept a smaller reservoir, say a one inch deep versus two inches deep, and watered more often, daily instead of bi=daily, it would help with the problem? Anyone that can tell me about organic hydroponics would be really helpful right now, before I dish out the cash for something that is going to ruin my grow or stink me out of my house.

I have the same question. Can I use biothrive bloom, by itself, in a hempy bucket? Will I need to add Cal-Mag?

I know this an older post, but I will give you my answer. You may want to use organics in a hempy,but if you read up on hempy buckets you will see they where not intended for use with them. Think about it, you have a rez sitting in the bottom of a bucket and no micro organisms eating that organic matter.Some bad stuff is gonna happen,something has to brake down organics, and the medium in the hempys is not a good environment for that ..Hempys are for pure chem nutes. its like guys who want to go organic in an areo system that uses sprayers and small tubing. Sometimes a system just aint made for organic nutes, even if we wish they where.

Hempys. Were not about useing just chem nutes.
Unfortunately with all the bastardation of useing hempys info is misconstrued.
In hempy true hempy solution does not " just sit" in the bottom.
Since in true hempy style one waters once every 3-4 days, the solution at the bottom is used, pulling in O2 as the solution gets used up.
While there is no standing water in the bottom the medium still holds enough for the plant to use till next watering
No standing water= no root rot
So yes you can run a organic line in a hempy
Just add beanies at least weekly
