Make sure your using blue spec cfl for veg with a small amount of red cfl, then to flower red spec cfls with a small amount of blue, before flowering give the plants 24 hours of darkness this should kick start the flowering process, so 18/on 6/off for veg, then 12/on 12/off for flower, if you want the plants to grow to 2 to 3 foot general rule of thumb is once they start to flower they will grow to just over twice there veg size... heyy watsup?? i like your grow.. its lookin really good actually. im gonna keep stoppin by.. and in my opinion.. i dont think that its a hermie.. sadly.. i have hermies.. =-( i got 2 of them.. sometimes it takes a while for them to show tho.. mine looked fine.. then outta nowhere.. pollen sacs started showin up EVERYWHERE!!! and now its just outta control... it really really sucks.. a month and 1/2 in.. maybe even 2 moths.. all for nothing.. =-(

I'm not an expert on telling sex, but the pistols in both pics look the same to me. Unless you mean the bud site at the top of the 2nd pic, in which case I can't really see it too well. Ane the stem's kinda in the way.

In regard to Colas, I've seen plants with 2, 4, and more colas that look puny, and I've then them look like monsters. It will give you more weight if you discover the trick to making them into monsters.

To get 4 Colas you wait till you see the 6th true node, then you top it all the way down to the 2nd true node. You'll get 4 main stems & colas which should also give you more bud sites.

The technique used to get the multiple colas like the monster in the pic is called FIM, I'm personally trying this on my plants now, and I'm making sure they get all nutes, minor as well as major. (notice the nute burns in the pic of the monster) I think this may be the trick, bigger plants need more nutes. And I know first hand that minor nutes are important for max growth, my girls are still thanking me for their last feeding.

i think shes still healing up, no sign of new growth other than the side branches grew about 3 inches taller :) but thanks alot, ill deffinatly b reading my ass off for a while :bigjoint: but no light leaks into my closet, and i have the lights on 24/0 as of about 3 weeks in soil

im using 10 blue spec bulbs and 3 red for vegging, and ill flip it to 10 red and 3 blue when i start flowering in about a week. thanks bro :)

im not all that worried if one of em turns out ot b hermi, i guess if one does ill just have seeds to plant next time around lol it would still piss me off quite a bit tho haha

Hey, sorry I couldn't post sooner.. I have had to work the last two days haha.. anyway... I can't see anything in the pics that is showing signs of being a hermi.. anyway.. don't ever let me catch u saying you would be okay with having a hermie... you gotta be crazy... that one plant can literally fuck up everything in your entire grow... not only will it pollenate itself.. but that plant that is a beautifull female next to it will be completly seeded out as well... you will have cross bread the strains ..... but .... not such a good idea for your first grow.. especially if you don't know much about combinding good characteristics that go well together... you won't trully be able to be 100% sure what the sex is untill about a week into flowering.... possibly sooner in your case since you vegged for so long...

if one of them turns out hermi i think ill make a seperat grow box for it in a different room. the only reason why i would b remotly okay with it is because im having trouble getting a hold of seeds ( stingy friends... lol) the plant i topped is looking amazing! she has grown atleast 3 inches taller on the main stem and every branch :) seems to not have taken much stress from topping. the lemon haze is looking good too, tho most of the newer leafs have started to twist and curl under on the edges, does that sound like a ph problem? and im concidering pruning some of the lower leafs because there looking a little yellow and have drooped alot due to not getting light. ill take a pic ina min. wuts everyones opinion? should i let the leaves die and fall off naturally or snip em and try to clone??

Okay... thats a definatly more positive outlook on the hermi... and I am so glad that your plants are growing... anyway... PH........... by the sounds of it... you have a slight PH problem.. I actually have a slight PH problem myself right now... don't worry... its not a big problem... just get some type of soil Ph testing kit or meter and figure out if its high or low... between 5 and 7 will keep a plant stable...once you figure out if your high or low let me know and ill give you a organic solution that will get you back in the right direction... but another thing about PH is if you don't take care of it and let it get out of control your plant isn't going to be able to suck in those vital nutes that it really needs...

Now to tell ya about the bottom leaves.... snip em off dude.. I know alot of people will tell ya to just let nature take it's course, but I have found that there is no harm in pruning your plant up and keep it looking nice.. the plant doesn't suffer from you cutting around on it... it's like us getting a hair cut... not only will you feel better but the plant feels better too... any kind of dead or injured leaves just cut off... and don't forget to lollipop those plants as soon as you get em into flowering..

i checked my water ph at it wus 6. im going to flush tonight, they have always seemed to b alot healthier the next day when iv flushed in the past becasue of ph and discoloring problems. ill get a soil ph kit as soon as possible. does testing the water run off from the drainage holes tell me ne thing about the soil ph? and yea i figured snipping em off would b best, but my brother disagrees so i thought i would get some opinions lol

Yea, my water is always consistent too ... just sometimes your soil can be off.. to be completley honest... I don't know why it happens.. and thats a good idea... I'm check the water run off and see what I come up with ... I've never done it before... but anyway... go hit up Lowes.. they have cheap like 10 dollar soil ph, moisture, and light meters .. (all in one)... not as accurate as they come but... you know using the resources you have is always number one options... remember cannibus is technically a weed... it's a pretty strong plant and can deal with a little of stress without being hurt to bad...

yea ima hit up lowes for sure, thanks :) i figured id hav to get the $100 tester i seen at the hydro shop. would deffinatly b rad if i could find a cheaper one. and yea i found that they are WAY more durrable then i thought. the first month or so wus almost painful watchin these little girls trying to survive. but they pulled through great =D and i upped the nutes to half strength and noticed a couple burned tips on leaves so i pruned a lil on both of them and have them in the bath tub dripping from the flush at the moment. i really appreciate how much you have helped me out and how quick ya get bak at me

Dude.. it's chill don't worry man.. bongsmilie hell yea bro. thats how it should be, we need more people on RUI like c dub forrsure. and ill hit u up ina messege if i got a question. the flush last night DEFFINATLY helped :eyesmoke: the one i topped (im not sure yet) but it has 7 tops. or atlest what look like tops to me lol i could b VERY wrong tho.the ph probloem is gone and they both grew like a wild fire last night:mrgreen:

when i say 7 "tops" i mean there are 7 side branches that have started to grow sets of leaves just like nodes on the main stem. and have curved and started to grow straight upwards. my comp is messn up and wont let me get the pics off my camera but ill try to figure it out soon

im planning on making a homemade co2 system. im goona read around for how to make it but im wondering if you can over do with co2? will it suffocate the plant or something if there to much in the room?

so i noticed that the new nodes are poppin out sets of 11 leaves instead of the usual 9. im not worried, i just try to listen to plants alot, and im wondering if there tryn to tell me something lol it grew about 6 nodes with sets of 9 then all the sudden started 11.
