only think i hear about LED is that its good when used in combination with HID lighting(not too good solo), but if you spend the money (like 800$) you can get awesome LED pannel that willl function like a 1000w hps. all those little 90w ufos and shit arent good and are quite over priced. Its a technology that needs a bit more tweeking in the grow world. When top;ping you want to just snip just the fresh growth (there is a much greater dtailed sticky at the top of one of the forums (youtube is great fro stuff like that to get a visual) As for your problem im not too good with diagnosis but if you post the pic in the disease section someone with better knowledge will be more then happy to help you (make sure to put in your lighting and nute sched in your post as this will be ther first question asekd about your grow)
My buddy is using 4 of those $800 panels to grow and I think they are producing excellent results. They worked great for veg and are working great for flower. The nugs are growing nice and dense.

Yea didnt mean to bash LEDs, if you got the cash they're prb sweet. Ide love no heat issues and nice and effecient power drawing. Let me know if you get a pic of the grow ide love to see what they can do.

these are the spots... whats making them? thanks again

You have spider mites on your plants. That is what is causing the leaf spotting as the insects have a piercing sucking mouth-part that sucks the chlorophyll out of the leaf cell and leaves this symptom on the leaf. You need to first rid this plant of mites before flowering. Use Neem oil, insecticidal soap or any number of home recipes found in these forums for mite control. After achieving control of the mite problem you could leave the plants in the 18-24 hour light cycle and take some cuttings for clones, then flower the plant.

I am on my first grow, so no expert by any means. However, my son tells me that the plant will become very stinky when it flowers fully. Mine are in preflower now, and they smell some, but evidentally will become much more so when they fully flower.
I also had some white spots on some leaves.....it turned out to be bird poop, lo. It's an outdoor grow.

haha well hopefully theres no birds in the tent ;) ive been worried if theyd fly into the pipe that blows air out, but have a hard time imagining if theyd pass thge airflow, that they would be able to pass the motor n then find a way thru the filter.. as u hear ive been giving ita lotta thought but i think bird is not guilty ^^
ive also been expecting it to smell alot, right now they smell alittle like tomatoplants.. just sharper. do u know how old your plants are?
