I was watching all this Cold weather news and got to wondering if there were even more ways to look at the climate question, outside the probabilities debate. It is as probable as Cigs cause cancer as the climate is warming, they say. Well. We know there is a shaky link to lung cancer with small cell, 1 year to live, is almost always from Ciggies. It is what happened to my Mom.
But, that doesn't mean Cigs will kill you. It actually does not kill so many it would be banned, right? So, again, a very specious argument of statistics and an improper linking of data sets.
So, what facts are there? The politics is Polling for Consensus among "scientists." What more data can I see?
Well, it occurred to me that record temps might say something. But, it doesn't say more to me than I already know. Of course the climate changes year over year with orbital precession AND we really have no idea what causes Ice ages except these 23,000 year precession.
So, if we are getting hotter, there should be only new high temp records everywhere, and NO low temp records, ideally.
But, just a mixed bag if you sort the columns by record year.
Ireland hasn't had new
high record since 1877.
Only 4 locales set high records in 2013. And one was Austria. But, Italy set a
low record.
Canada's
high record was back in 1937.
Poland, 1921.
OK? Now,
low records.
Italy 2013, record
low. (but Austria was
high)
Philippines 2010.
North Ireland 2010.
So, here is what I think. The EU dominates the Greater Security Council and NATO. And only North Central Europe is warming. But, they have the power to make all this noise and pay for Cheerleaders like Sagan, from the beginning. They are spreading money through aid and the USA "back east," wants to be "like them" for some reason.
I guess they don't feel sophisticated even today. New York rubes, in their own minds. So, we are throwing our money in, too.
But, where are the facts? We see coopted opinion... could be this, probably is that, etc. You have to understand power for its own sake, to get this one.
