Well for starters obamas state of illinois is reaping profits. We are now goin to use 30% of our corn to produce 3% of our gas at the same time were facing a world wide famine. Solar power companies, wind power companies etc. This mess goin on right now with the economy and inflation is a direct result of the corn based ethenol bill rushed and passed by congress in dec. 07.

The truth of the matter may never be revealed because truth is a precious commodity that is not recognized by too many when it does occur:) he said she said is the rule of government today and the truth about anything global warming included might never be revealed.

Just as you wouldn't believe something religious to be science. I now feel the same about politics after this global warming fiasco.

Med Why not hit the link and read the article... It is based in Science.
Dank, I've read articles about global warming till my eyes bled. I've read about the sunspots, the cowfarts, the human induced shit and the natural occurences. This is one of those subjects that is very subjective. You either believe it's getting warmer or that it is a hoax. It's like the two sides will not come together. Mores the rift, as it would be nice if there could be a consensus reached. I'm in the It's gettin warmer category and it's fucking up the weather. But who knows. maybe I'm nuts. It was 108 here a week ago and the last two days it never went past 60 degrees, WTF.

Not too much in early may, although I've seen 110 in may before. My point is, it's fucking up the weather. I've never seen it less than 60 for a high this late in May. and I've lived in Vegas over 30 years. Yeah, I can hardly wait for the 120* days a comin. It's so hot that you literally cant touch your steering wheel, the buckle on your seat belt will Give you 1st degree burns. It's like 150* in side of a car.

I worked at a huge Unocal on the strip for 7 years. The back of the station faced west, that was my work area. In the afternoon, the temps out on that blacktop without a shelter were excruciating, add to that the temps of the overheated cars and you can see the heat of the matter. On any given Sunday in summer, we'd have tow trucks lined up dropping cars off. We were one of the only shops open on Sundays. The work was tough, but the rewards were great. It wasn't unusual to bag a 2,000 check for a weeks work, we worked on commission.

Come on Med, Global Warming is a Scam to push through the carbon Tax.

So say you. My opinion (For that is what they are, opinions) differs. Only time will tell. What if you are wrong and we could have changed the chain of events and didn't? BTW what fricken carbon tax, the one they put on gross polluters

Med I'm a homebrewer, do you know how much Carbon Dioxide I make in a year? Co2 is a by product of fermentation as well as alcohol. On average I make about 15 gallons of beer a month (6 cases), this beer gasses out for about a week and a half, then it goes into a secondary fermenting vessel to age for another 2 weeks, where the residual gas releases and the yeast drops out of suspension. Then I bottle after that.

So, your afraid they will tax your beer making? My gosh, what a catastrophe. I seriously doubt they are after some home brewer. Your odds of getting busted for growing are probably better than getting taxed on home brew. So you drink almost 4 gallons of beer a week, wow, your urinary tract must get a work out. When do you have time to sober up? I'm pretty sure when I was your age, I probably drank that much and more. I used to love beer, now I can't stand the taste. Beer is an acquired taste. I loved the German beer when I was in Germany. Every little town had a brewery, usually the centerpiece of the town.

I'm not the only person who drinks in my house, and my neighbor drinks some of it too.

My Daughter drinks about a case a month, My daughter's Boyfriend drinks about 3 beers a day as well as I do and my neighbor drinks about a case a month.

Right now I'm doing English Ales, IPAs, Stouts, Porters, Browns, Irish Reds.

German ale is fun. I was in Germany last December and a few mugs of that and I was smashed. The last night I was there, I had a flight the next morning at 9 AM but they kicked me out of the airport  at midnight so I had to find a 24hour bar. I stayed up the whole night drinking and somehow made it to that flight drunker than hell(that Munich airport is massive as well). It was transatlantic so I just slept the entire flight.
