GMO and Our Herb... Hope this isnt becoming a reality...

Was scrolling through news and what not when i had came across this article... Read and re read about 3 different times and its crazy how its all becoming a reality.. I know alot of our foods are played with but now our Herb??? I already believe the weed culture has already been doing that naturally by selective breeding.. I believe the Whole U.S gov is just truly trying to dumb us down generation by generation and tell us straight up fuck you... I need any thoughts concerns 2 cents etc i had to bring this to you guys since this is a pretty large community. Save the pic and share ! Instagram fb twitter etc..

Here is my take on this, no conspiracy required.

Aurora lost 3.3. Billion (Canadian) last year.
The old CEO was replaced by Miguel Martin
Miguel Martin wanted to gin up support for the financially crippled Aurora
Miguel Martin compared Aurora to one of the most successful Agribusiness companies
Bite, suckers, bite

Aurora is just one of the many that overestimated the Canadian Cannabis market and is now trying to survive.

So if you look at auroras offerings on their website you can see that some of the flowers have already been modified using e-beam (electron-beam technology. I’ve included a scientific study, although not on cannabis, but it explains what the process does to plants.



In addition there are a couple huge DNA sequencing projects already for cannabis. It’s only a matter of time before a company starts owning the IP for specific cannabis strains as well as then genetically modifying the seeds to enhance the effects. Research into cannabis is definitely a double edged sword, because some companies who tried to “recreate” someone else’s strain and call it the same have found out there strains aren’t the same at all and have rebranded their copycat strain. But the implications of “owning” a particular DNA sequence is scary. I remember reading that a company already was able to get a patent for a particular high CBD strain because of the specific terpene profile, so the precedent in the USA has already been set for how company’s can own weed strains. My 2 cents is to stock up your genetics now, because in 5-10 years we might be seeing lawsuits like Monsanto was notorious for when they would sue farms who weren’t using their seeds because the farm next door, which was using Monsanto’s seeds, would “accidentally” pollinate the farm that wasn’t.

That video was from 2017... flash forward and now Phylos the company behind the DNA sequencing has started its own breeding program in Oregon and are using the information learned as the basis for the breeding program.... the wheels are already in motion and I don’t know if anyone can stop it....

I have no doubt that scumbag companies like MonSatan have already produced GMO cannabis and are just waiting for the US fed to take it off Schedule 1 before releasing the Kraken and taking over pot seed production like they have with so many other plants.

There are already bio-tech companies developing GMO bacteria and yeasts etc to produce cannabinoids so so your buzz can be produced in vats with no growing of plants required. With the trend towards the purest forms of pot like THC and CBD isolates they will have a huge market for it too. On the bright side it will free up land to plant more food to feed the 10 billion people expected to inhabit the planet by 2050 if it's still habitable by then and I have my doubts about that.

I hate morphine myself. Makes me sick as a dog so I always tell them I'm allergic to it and codeine if I end up in the hospital. Demerol is my pain killer of choice if I can get it. You know the pain is still there but you don't give a flying fuck about it any more. lol

Bio-tech is jumping ahead in leaps and bounds what with Crisper and other recent advances in genetic manipulation so all sorts of franken-drugs will be flying out of factories in the future. Moderna is doing trials now for an HIV vaccine using the mRNA tech the new vaccines are made out of. Shows great promise and could really help if it works. Not all this new shit is bad.

I'm sure they already have BT Cannabis just like BT Corn, Cotton, Potatoes, etc...

That's one of the reasons I've been so focused on acquiring landrace strains and making seeds. I'm just a collector and there are others that are much more involved in the collection and preservation of landrace strains. Fortunately I'm able to acquire genetics thanks to their efforts.

Cheer up everybody, we should be encouraging them to make the best seeds and tailoring them to all our needs.. Then as good citizens we'll just exercise our freedom to steal them and make our own seeds.. There is an up side here..

I just think that GMO weed and not the strain is going to hit the market sooner than we hope.

I'm hoping they'll do it sooner than later.. More power to the independent breeder.. I'll duplicate their seeds too if they're better .. I give away the seeds I make.. I've given people reasons to kill me, getting sued is pretty low on my worry list.. If you don't make waves, you're not making a difference that matters.. Just because you're small, doesn't mean you can't swing a big hammer..

That’s why we should gather all the untouched seeds to our collection and start doing our own work. Fuck what the government is trying to give us.

It makes sense to me now... I was bout to post a new thread asking why the medical Marijuana is less potent or has less of the natural "high" that gives me the necessary effects that I'm looking for. Even though it's more expensive, and supposed to be better... its not, definately not the flower at least. I thought they were doing some kind of genetic testing/breeding for high CBD concentrated versions, and trying to maybe dial down, or out, the ThC levels.

Even The places that have local growers supplying them over growing their own supplies, I've noticed is quite a difference in quality too. It's like home grown Vs lab grown!

It would make bud essentially useless to me (IMO,...wiithout that calming high, im a loose cannon sometimes, and even Xanax doesn't calm that rage... but smoke a bowl, and something I'd normal annihilate someone over, quite literally, suddenly becomes hilarious to me instead of Insulting lol.
