Gnats Gnats Gnats'...

I guess i have root gnats floating around my Res,. 4x4 28count bubba kush platinum,came from oaksterdam. what is the protocall? do i dunk each basket ( 6x6 with clay ) or add to res?

Put a mosquito dunk in your reservoir.

"no pest" strips work well for fungus gnats.

I pulled out the Runt in the group and it is infested with them ( no dought the carrier) there are little or no roots left. whats a mosquito net ,do you mean fabric that catches them?

Mosquito Dunks are sold at most hardware/home improvement stores. These are little doughnut shaped disks that float in water and contain Bacillius thuringiensis israelensis bacterium which is released steadily for a period of 30 days. The bacteria produces a larvicidal toxin, it will be consumed by the fungus gnats and they will die. It could take a few weeks, but the populations will be significantly reduced.
In the mean time you can consider other control methods to keep the adult population down. These can include sticky strips, insecticidal sprays and/or repellents (Go-Gnats, neem oil, Organocide, pyrehtrins, Cinnamon oil extracts) or even vacuum as many of them up as you can.

Ill check with my hydroshop...I got this brown powder you mix 3.5grams to a gallon and water with it ...The gnats love it and are attarcted to it ...then go to it then die...the larva swims in it and dies...I lost 3 plants to gnats before this ...Now I have no problem...PM me later and Ill get the name of the stuff for you
