resin production slows down significantly toward the end of harvest, and almost stops, and starts to degrade, resin will further mature but you won't get any more. i had many colas with lots of white hairs, and showing lots of amber trichs, so i believe maturity comes with age and how long it's been flowering. harsher conditions may degrade thc quicker

ok thanks i was just wondering the only way thc can degrade is when u are drying it and u have light when it suppose to be in dark stage for cureing eh!?

I'm sure that's not the only way THC degrades, however it definately degrades very quickly in intense light. Using CFL's I don't think you would have much of a problem with degradation.

Sounds like a great lineup GDP. Razzleberry is gonna be really good. I think you will like it alot. Sour D and BB together makes for a seriously crystally plant. The only thing different from Razzleberry and my Sweet Blue Diesel, is the SweetTooth genetics in my cross. Ive always wondered how it would be without the SweetTooth in her. Im sure you'll let me know when its finished. The Sour Diesel crossed with BB will be much better than DJ's BB. Thats alot to say too because I love love love DJ's BB.Thanks for stopping by Tru.

Nope never grown out any OG yet. Soon though...I've been looking at seeds to start the veg room back going when all those ladies go into flower...just not sure what I want yet.

Actually THC degrades even while the plant is still alive. Because the plant is producing so much THC at peak flowering the rate of THC production far outweighs the rate of degradation. If you wait to long to chop the rate of degradation will begin to exceed the rate of production and potency will begin to decline.
When you drying your buds it's not that big of a deal to let a little light hit them, A 60 watt incandesent at 4 feet distance will be so little light that you wouldn't have to worry about it(compare that to the sun or a HID) if you need to go check on the buds for a couple minutes. however drying buds with a HID light on or in direct sunlight would be harmfull
Oxygen will also degrade THC, especially over a long period of time.

OG Kush is amazing...I made the mistake of growing some a few years before college and people would always ask if I had any years after...but really it's a certain kinda smoker that only like the heavy hitting strains...I like Afhgani #1 better than OG Kush not to say the California Kushes are bad...I'm looking into Hindu and Pakistan Kushes right now...but anyhow I'm ranting...good growing everyone
