I am 7 days in flower now and realised I sprayed distilled water at my friggin donor to male ffs
is it too late to spray sts to breed this cycle my plants are a 50day cultivar or will my sts efforts only be able to apply to my next grow ?

dude told me he waits till preflowers at the shop but my guides say spray a week before transitioning to flower

Same thing ?
Not necessarily. Some folks count day 1 of flip as day 1 of flower. But there is a bit of a transition period, so some people count day 1 that flowers show up as day 1 of flower. I feel like it's a personal preference as how to keep.track for reference. That's why I always specify what day from flip.
Just my $.02 (ETA: No pun intended as I just noticed your screen name haha)

No. 12/12 triggers a hormone that starts the process of flowering. There is a term for what its called, but I am tired and dumb, so forgive my ignorance. It usually takes 2 weeks for it to trigger, and you can see the plant start to make physiological changes.

This is also largely believed to be the reason breeder times are so different from novice flower times. As a rule of thumb, whatever the breeder says, add 2 weeks. This goes for good breeder estimates anyways, there will always be a lying motherfucker trying to sell a fast flowering haze that produces lbs.

You're basically blocking ethylene production in the flowers with use of silver solutions

If you caught your error 1 week into flower, you should be fine, start spraying with actual STS as soon as you can, stay on a 5-day reapplication and keep applying up until the pollen sacs start to open.
