Going Big: New Year, New Grow! 600w DWC tent

Hey everyone! I am on the tail end of a 150w hps grow that ended in disaster, so I have decided to step it up a couple notches for my next grow. I just graduated college, so the money I received as a gift went to my new setup. In total, everything was less than $700 after everything was said and done.

Here are the specs:

Homebox XL (56x56x78")
Lumatek 600w dimmable ballast
Xtrasun 6 air cooled hood
Aeroflow 6" 425cfm fan
Homemade DWC setup consisting of: 600gph pump, 2) 30 gal totes, 3.75" pots with 16 sites total

The problem now is that I don't have any plants to fill all this space. I currently have a trainwreck, lemon skunk, la woman, and two thai super skunk sprouts going but I still need more plants to fill all this space. Anyways, I'll keep you updated on what I decide to plant.

YES DUDE THIS IS WHAT IM TALKIN BOUT!! haha watched the last grow from start to finish, i didn't really comment much but sorry to see that happen. ill watch this one to. any plans for the old box?

hell yea! shit this is making me want to upgrade, but it will be no sense bc next yr im living in my frat house and wont be able to grow anymore

Awesome, glad you like it! I hope I won't disappoint with this new setup. The old box is probably going to be a veg chamber or mother cab once I get enough plants to need it. The other cabinet is going away since I don't want to deal with CFL's again.

Yeah, that would make it very difficult to grow. Who knows where I'll be in a few months since I am now job searching. As long as there is an area for my tent and they are cool with my dog, I'll live wherever I have to.

Thanks, congrats to you as well. What was your degree? Mine is in Business Administration with an emphasis on management. Should be broad enough to do just about anything with...

I'm really sorry about your last grow. I was following it closely and was very disappointed when it all went down hill. I just posted my first grow (still in seed) and I have the same problem. Hope this one goes better for you. Subscribed.

You know it. I'm really optimistic about the space and lighting. Should turn out excellent once I figure out what strains to fill the tent with.

Thanks for dropping by. Yeah, it sucks about the last grow but life goes on and in this case, it'll be bigger and better. You're having heat problems too? Get those babies cooled down. Sprouts and late flower are critical times for ensuring the plant has all its needs met. Do you have a link to your grow?

Tell me what strains I should grow!

I definitely want to grow a kush, so I think I've decided on GHS kings kush. The other strain I'm debating is between cheese and trainwreck. Any other suggestions?

Ask away.

They are 4" Sunleaves stones. I've got 4 of them in the two tubs and they make some good bubble action. I'd be interested to see if another type of airstone would work better. Heres the link.

Thanks. Yeah, the hood is vented through the hood of the tent and I leave a window open during the day when the light is on to regulate the temps.

I ordered more seeds:
10) Trainwreck
5) Kings Kush

I'm going to fill the right tub with the tw and 4 spots of the left tub with the kk. The rest will be bagseed and other misc free seeds just to fuck around.
