Going have a hard time deciding what to grow

I bought some tester seeds direct from Brothers Grimm. Also bought some cheap seeds from Royal Queen and Humboldt from NASC. I got some seeds coming from Irvine Seed Company too.

The tester seeds are new to me. But the price was very good and got a free pack of Grimm Truffles testers. I got room for 4 plants in my 4X4 and 2 or 3 in my 2X4 which I just got a 200w Viparspectra light to replace the lower quality leds I had in there.

Plan is photoperiods. 2 - 5gal DWC and 2 - 7gal homemade organic soil in the 4X4.
2 strains comparison grow hydro vs organic.

Then 3 autos in the 2X4 either in 3 gal pots. The autos max height needs to be around 30 to 36" tall after stretch. So the autos need to top out at around 90cm. So 80cm strains preferred. I thought about trying to top an auto but worried about messing up the plant.20230915_215734.jpg20230915_220116.jpg20230915_220201.jpgScreenshot_20230915_223039_Gmail.jpg

There are plenty of ways to mitigate hiegth limits.
Low stress training is the most fun and has the least risk of harm to the plants.
I got shunned for suggesting autos shouldn't be top/fim/cropped so I topped 2 of 3 of my current run and they seem to have benefitted
4×4 is plenty big for 4 photos and 3 autos should not be an issue in a 2×4

You should be able to train the autos and keep them the height you want. Bend, twist and shape them how you want.

At least that what I do, but I have newer grown autos.

Yes indeed you can...

you will find the hydro plants will grow faster then the organic one's, provideing you have the hydro and enviroment dialed in
I've only done DWC one time with Purple Kush and it was a monster. It even got fungus gnats infested in the bucket. Nasty maggots all inside. Idk how they survived the nutes in the water. Changed the bucket 2 times and put a yellow sticky over the net pot hole snug against the trunk and it solved the issue but she didn't get affected by the gnat larvae.

Its getting cooler here so in Oct and Nov I can keep the bucket Temps ok. I used Hydroguard too and still have plenty of it left.

This time I ziptied tomato cages to the net pot bucket lids so I can train and support them and still be able to change buckets without messing the plants up. I duct taped over the ziptie holes to keep stuff from getting in.

I used 5gm Maxibloom and Calmag with Hydroguard from veg to last 3 days before harvest. My friend said the smoke was harsh so I guess I need to flush longer next try. Also noticed I had lots of larf. I got a lot of weight but half was thrown in the ice bucket lol
