I have to leave door cracked. thoughs were under all my top buds so they ant getting much light.

If ALL your tops are like that- making seeds, then they may have all hermied. Can you find any pollen sacks? If light got in during the dark hours thats all it takes. I dont know if theres a relationship between the part of the plant that gets (nightime) light and the part that makes the seeds if the plant hermies. I figure if one part of the plant sees light at night then the whole plant hermies, not just the bit that saw the light. But IDK for sure. tell me again if i should know already, where did you get your seeds, or where they clones?

they where clones, i think i hermed them when i tried to move them. or i did for get to turn on my fan one knight so i opened the door to turn it on. i read somewhere that if you interrupt the night cycle it could through off you harvest date not herm ur plants.

I am buying a 1000watt light and a cooltube. is a 160 cfm blower going to be enough to cool a 1000watt? How big would it have to be to run a MH conv bulb?

I have a 740 CFM watt fan for my 1000 watt. It's much much better to have too much fan than too little. Buy a big fan and "The Speedster" fan controller (Google it)which allows you to adjust the fan speed in order to dial right in to 75 F. They cost around $30 and are one of the best investments I ever made.

Oh so you ARE going to run a 1000W. HTG has a 6 in and a 8 in. cooltubes that "Fits all H.I.D. bulbs except the large 1,000 watt Metal Halide BT56 bulb (the one that is as big as a football)"

Well i have 1000watt light system. I will have to wait on the cooltube. U think this will be enough light for a 8x 8x 10 room, or should I through my 400 in there to?

Is there piece of glass in that hood? Thats an air coolable hood. With a piece of glass in it, and ducting hooked up to both sides, its just as good as a cool tube. It basically IS a cooltube. Its just not tube shaped.

A 1,000 watt hps light will cover a 6x6 area nicely,a little more if you rotate daily & possibly add some cheap cfl side lighting,going any larger than 6x6 can allow stretching,depending on the style of plants grown,single cola plants fair better than full plants if the area is to be expanded past 6x6.

That worked out, it came with the glass. know i was thinking on hooking my stanley up to my hood intel i can get a fan more suitable for the job. i would put a y at the end so i will be able to control the air taking out of my room. the other side i would be pulling air from out side. I am going to run my lights at night so i wont be fighting the heat as much. what do u think?

the y is so i will be able to pull air from two places. I will be getting air from out side and control the air being taken from my room. The blower cfm on low is still to high, i will be sucking out more air than i am bringing in. AC will be running to much.

im sorry i dont understand what your saying? if 1 end of the y is pulling from the hood, & the other end is pulling from outside, where is this air going to? and why bother pulling air from outside that you are just blowing back outside the room?

I will try to explain better. my blower will be getting its air from a 6 inch duct that i will have ran to my room. i will hook it up to my blower.a foot inside my room i will cut the duct and install my y. i know have two places i am getting air from.

it sounds like your "blowing" air through the hood, rather than sucking it through as I am. Buts thats all good too. As long as the air FROM the hood leaves the room.

the reason i dont want to suck all the air from my room is my ac runs way to much. i am also sucking air from in side my house so if i am blowing a lot of air out constantly my ac has to make up for it. as soon as i can afford it i will get a portable ac unit, but for know i have to make dew.

well.... I decided to get a 8 inch duct booster at 500cfms to keep my light cool. my room is staying around 86. I might instal an ac in the wall.
