going on vaca . Please help. Please !!!! need curing advice

Im going on vacation in a couple days. and i had to cut all my plants last week.. no more growing for me.
to many people around me getting busted.
I have about 8 o's of some great buds. The problem is it has maybe 1 or 2 more days on the drying rack and im leaving saturday.

I need to jar them up before i go so they do not shrivel up to nothing. i dont want them overdry. \

So this is what i am thinking since i will not be able to open the jars until i get back from vacation.

What if i put maybe 2 pinholes in the lids of my jars so that there is a tiny bit of air and maybe it would help prevent them
from molding or causing to much moisture.

Any better suggestions ?

put little silica bags in the jars

I just did something similair. Fairly dry and put in jars with 8 or so nail holes in the tops. Worked..in warm shed but our humidity is 34%.

i say let them get overly dry then put them in brown paper bags wen you get back with a citrus fruit peel to regain their moisture. better to come home to dry buds that are smokeable rather than moldy buds you have to throw away. just my opinion.

yea but i rather throw it away then degrade its dankness by putting it with fruit peels. I rather smoke it crumbly dry in my vape. just saying.

and i have controlled humidity so that is not an issue, I think i am going to try a combination of taping silica bags to the bottom of the lids. and 1 or 2 small holes.
and im going to use twice as many jars as usual so that way they are nice and airy. and they will have been drying for 7-10 days in 40% humidity by the time they hit the jars.

some uncooked rice in the bottom of the jars will also help draw the moisture if you don't feel like eating a bunch of beef jerky bags to get the silica gel bags

you what?! u'd throw away a whole harvest because its overly dry?!
its not ruined. the peels can fix it and it wont hurt your buds.

ps. if its dank; its dank. the cure process can be manipulated and overly dry is certainly better than overly wet. the peels aren't going to ruin dankness. the peels will bring the dankness back from the dead and wont leave the buds smelling like the fruit it came from. the point of the citrus peels is to introduce moisture to your dried buds so you can then cure it properly.

Listen to this dOOd, he's got it goin' o'wn. Sometimes fruit peels can also improve really dry-assed average-assed bud too. Am with the dude who ain't even mad's logic.

thanks man.

i was just trying to help. if he risks trying to cure it while gone and mold develops most likely it'll ruin his whole harvest before he gets back. no comin back from mold...being overly dry is easily fixable though in comparison (and costs you only $1 for a few pieces of citrus fruit from the local produce market) versus the loads of $$$ you blew essentially growing out plants for months only to throw them away (mold)
