going out of town

So I'm leaving town for maybe up to 2 weeks and I'm a dirt grower. I can keep temp fine, and I have a timer for the lights, but what all can go wrong in this time? I am 1wk into flower now.

As you can see the soil pots are inside of tubs which can catch runoff water. Should I over water them so there is ~an inch of runoff water in the tub or would that cause problems. If it comes to it I can get my roommate to water them, but I want to avoid that if possible.

yeah not too many, but aquaglobes don't seem like a great solution. would leaving excess water in the bottom cause overwater problems?

Just drop a submersible pump in a tank of some kind and set a timer to turn the pump on every few days.
Run a line to each pot, you can time the out-put to determine how long to run the pump.

Works for me anyway.

Two weeks is a long time bro. My girls consume quite a bit more during flowering.

I guess you can give them a good watering right before leaving then fill up the pan and let the plants "wick" it up from the bottom. I dont really think that will last two weeks though.

Anyone else done that?

your best bet is to either get the pump or just flood the trays, if you had them in bigger pots you could probably almost pull it off with a wick, or get the roommate involved

gotta love this site. sit down to ask a question, and someone has started the same thread a couple hours earlier with good advice already there.

i'm leaving for 5 days tomorrow, will basically be missing 4 full days with no chance to water. You think one of those 10-15 dollar pumps can give me one good watering? or hell even the wicks sound like a decent idea to me.

hope your plants make it through your trip man, gl.

I have watered for three weeks using a cheap pump and an 18 gallon res. - worked fine.
I used a small $20 pump from Petsmart
