Going to clone here in the next few days...

I am looking for tips on cloning. I have read in the High Times "Ganja Grow Guide" a way that seems to be easy...I googled it to see if I could find a link. The only link that was what I was looking for linked me to this site. This is the system that I think that I am going to do. If there is any other advice let me know please because I really have never done this and just do not want to jack up the plants that I have worked hard to grow!
Here is what I plan to do...

I have found this FAQ a while back, pack full of information that may help, there is a section on cloning you may want to have a look. I personaly hate rookwool and pellets too, The root just don't seems to get enough air, although I have success with pellets a few times.

The last cloning attempt I use perlite and vermiculte 50/50 then DIY DWC cloner. I cut plastic cup to like 2 inch tall, make holes on the bottom, fill with perlite/vermiculite mix, the cups is then put on a tray with perlite/vermiculite mix and fill it to 1cm of water) place my cuttings in there for 3-4 day with the usual setup i.e. the doom, foilage spray of just water etc. Then place it on my homemade DWC clone. 8/8 success! You probably can leave it there longer and plant it into a pot straight after they rooted, or hydro if you prefer. One of my Pure Power Plant rooted in 7 days! thats just the strain though.

PS: I do drop water to the stem so to make sure the cuted bits are wet. Also look at the http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/1474.htm for "How can I root quicker using cutting scarification?" works for me :)

The way I clone is- I use a powder root toner and I get a plant starter kit, (the kind that have clear top and black bttm. also has the little waffers to start with. I bought all supplies at walmart.
First soak the waffers till they plump up.
Cut your clones at the 45 angle (for maximum surface coverage).
wet and dip the ends into the powder for 15 secs i think.
put straight into the waffers.
once you get them all done put clear lid on them and get an 18 inch floro tube light( costs 8 bucks at walmart) and set on top of the lid.
most important thing is to keep the leaves moist with a spray bottle. A little on plants and some on inside top of lid, do not over soak them. just lightly.
then just monitor them for about 5 days.
they then should be about ready to be put under you better lights.

if you dont have the humidity dome you can just take the cuttings, dip in some rooting gel or powder. put into fully soaked jiffy pellets, then put into a cup of some sort, then seal into a air tight baggie, set them on top of a laptop or fridge,w.e gets nice and warm..in anywere from 7-21 days you will have roots, how long it will take to root depends on the strain

Im not quitting by any means, I think some strains are just harder than others, I'll figure it out. Ive tried a cup of water, dwc bubbler, aero sprayers. just hasn't happend

1 min on and 5 off? Just asking cause when I clone, (manually) I mist my clones prob every hour or so, less at night. It seems like that much misting would be too much but then again I have never used a mister on a timer. Please let us no the results as I would love to give it a try on my next clones.

In my limited experience i have had 100% ongoing success with my clones. All i use is a small pot with soil and canna rhizotonic. Soak the soil with rhizotonic and let them sit in vegging area just slightly to the side from my 2 x 300w cfl's. I mist the leaves with rhizotonic once or maybe twice at the most a day and they always root well in just under 2 weeks. Might not be the most advanced technique but it's dirt cheap and hasn't let me down:bigjoint:

OK well I took a few cuttings! I put them into dirt. I tried a few different chem combos to see what way works the best. I will get a few pictures of them up tonight as my ladys are still in the dark!
