gold or garbage

new grower ran bubba kush a few times (photoperiod perpetual cloning ) now i have this {pheno? or stressed back to parent strain} cutting line that shows different traits than other line that i would call "closest to original seed pheno"
i like it so it stays around as a mom but i hope someone could tell me if this new type is beginners stress that led to an unbreed or water down genetic variation ? or just pheno variation .. i swear its lemon or orange afgan kush now wildly different in many ways, structure etc from b kush originally (my grow)
thanks for any help

It seems English may not be your primary language.. Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to understand what you are asking. It seems like you are asking something about stressing the plant and if it could possibly sway the genetic makeup and change the terpene, or scent profile?

Again, if you can try to word your question a bit more clear, I believe you will have more people participating and helping. But if that is what you were asking, then no, stressing a plant won’t change it’s genetics. There are however, multiple phenotypes per strain as in, if you were to grow 10 seeds of the same strain, it is very likely to end up eith several different plant structures, terpene profiles may vary, and varying growth speed and flower time. Generally, the more a strain has been “stabilized” the more uniform the plants are, with fewer phenotypes and variation. Strains that have not been stabilized at all, as in, first generation cross of 2 distinctly different strains, could easily result in lots of vastly different phenotypes.

Hope I was able to help, if not, I definitely recommend trying to word your questions a bit more basic or direct if possible to help with communication. Happy growing bud

FlyHigh589 Thank you for your kind reply
My apologies for that mess of a question, I was trying to get the question out in text and in my head at the same time

no, stressing a plant won’t change it’s genetics
This is the answer I was looking for Thank you

I thought stress is how breeders pushed phenotypes to their desired result, not just selective from many bean pops

kgp Thanks for the response very simply explained
Cheers guys
