Gold?

So I went out to check out my jars since some of this stuff will sit until I move within the next few weeks. I came upon some great buds when I first got them and they were jar'd immediately to protect that wonderful picture perfect bud: Srawberry Cough and Snow White. The cough smelled really like fresh berries when I got it about 6-7 months ago. Now the time has flown by and these buds are a yellow, golden color. I really can't classify it as brown because it isn't anywhere at Schwag level. Schwag has nothing on this but since I haven't touched those buds in quite some time, is there anything wrong with this ?? Honestly I haven't had bud this long in jars so this result is new to me.

congratulations, you have cured your herb for a long ass time. if i still had some, as i just smoked the last of that stash, i'd take a pic of some buds i had in the jar for a long time. beautiful gold color on the inside of the nugs when you busted them open. smelled and tasted amazing, and smooth as all get up. i've never had bud go bad because i've always stored it properly. the longer it was around, the better the flavor and smell became.

I'm only pleased because the conditions this bud is in is perfect for curing. It's often in 50-70 degrees in summer but now since it's cooling down, I would think that this just helps preserve it. It is in a trunk that is dark but not super dank. It's that perfect humidity by any means. I just didn't put 3 and 3 together for this because honestly I would have thought to smoke the stuff before having got this far. My daughter was born so things were put on hold and I got lucky that the bud was cured well to begin with and it really only improved it to a point. Now I'm hoping that the smoothness will be like tasting that 12 year old whiskey smooth and gold. At least when I get back to it that is. The smell is almost grassy but it still has body to it. It isn't offending at all, but those terpenes have gone away mostly and now it's just thc. If you'll spare me a moment I can probably arrange some pictures pretty soon.

Did
Honestly it sounds like it got extremely cured. Does it smell bad? If not.. I would smoke it..
it does not smell bad at all. Slightly grassy but not ammonia smell. Like the terps went out. Makes me want to just slowly pick it apart and roll it in some fine hemp.

Ok first off this is done with fluorescent lighting above me so it makes everything freaking green. My eyes see something else, it was really green to begin with, both of these now they have lost probably what looks like 50 to 60 percent of their beginning green color. They smell terrific still and begging to be smoked. The nug above is Strawberry Cough, still smells like fruit, more tame, before it was like you had those fruit snacks shoved up your olfactory. It was goddamn beautiful.
Bud down here is Snow White. This bunch is relatively the same color as the cough. Similar in smell strength but smells sweet. Can't wait to break it up and make a blunt get the best of this. image.jpg

The beauty of cured cannabis.
Well cured cannabis. The science of all this being part of a bacteria that does the work is pretty interesting but that's only on a microscopic level. We get to see the whole thing change before our eyes. Again I'm not sure I can improve much but my jars are full and this may become a normality.

Thank you, I'd hardly call it a real achievement unless I grew it myself and saved it up to this point. Note to self:grow beautiful pot from seed to cure and wait it out
get yourself one of these, and cure all your herb between 55-65% RH, and it will be g2g for a long time in the jars man. you just pop this tool in the jar, seal, and wait a few days for the reading. if the herb has high moisture content >65% open the jar, dump out the herb for a couple hours, and then put it back in, and seal it back up. wait for a new reading. repeat until you have the optimal moisture content between 55-65%. nice tool for 30$ to know exactly where your buds are at. it comes calibrated out of the box from the factory.
