Gonna sound like a total NOOB but will a humidifier have adverse effects on my T5 48?

HEY BABE!

I know that...but I mean in general.

Will the added humidity being produced in the tent cause my light to short or anything crazy? Bulbs to blow?

Should I just put it outside the tent and leave it open a touch?

LOL, hello!

I can't speak from experience with T5's, but I've had no issues with CFL's in my space and my humidity gets up there pretty high sometimes when the lights are off. From what I've noticed the condensation will collect near the bottom of the box if it does at all.

Hopefully someone with T5's chimes in :)

GL on your grow!!

P.S: if you put it right outside the tent near your intake what are your RH levels like?

Humidity won't affect your T-5 setup. Not unless the "humidity" is a result of dropping your lights in the bathtub or leaving them out in the rain.

Check the manual for the lights and see what if the operating humidity level is listed. Some electronics have that. Especially climate control ones.

Im pretty sure any growing light would have some protection against humidity. It is a growing light and cant grow much without humidity being a factor. There should be some type of moisture barrier.

Edit: I wouldnt call that a noob question at all, its a pretty legit question/concern.
