Good, cheap hid growroom glasses

Not sure if this is the right forum for posting this, but since it involves lighting, i figured its as good as place as any. I just wanted to let ppl know about these glasses that I found, that are a great alternative to the expensive grow room glasses that are out there. The only 2 brands that I know of right now are the Method and LUMii. Both are expensive for just glasses. I didn't want to pay $50 or sometimes over a $100 for some glasses. So after doing some searching I found these. They are called Elvex Go Specs 2. The Elvex company makes a lot of different eyewear and appear to be a very good brand. The main reason I went with these , was the fact that they block 99% of all uva, uvb, and uvc light. Which is what i wanted and what the other expensive ones do as well. Since these aren't made for the grow room, i wasn't sure if they would have any affect on blocking the yellow effect of hps, like the expensive ones do. I wasn't that concerned about that anyway, as i only wanted them for eye protection from the harmful uv rays. Anyway i will tell you they work great and they even do help block the yellow of the hps lighting. For the price these are a great alternative and from what i can tell, they do exactly what the expensive ones do. I was able to find mine online for $8.95 including shipping. So a lot cheaper than the grow room purpose ones. Anyway just thought i would pass along the information to anyone who wanted uv protection glasses, but didn't want o pay the high price for them.

I have the Lumii brand and i totally love them. I tried the $150 Brand and noticed no difference. I dont care about uv or uva, uvb. I just want to be able to see the true colors of my girls. At a good hydro store they should let you try them out. Bring your others and compare ... oh im under 1000 watt hps, later

I'm gonna bump this bitch for a HIJACK.

So, bought these cheap blue lens safety glasses the other day on eBay...Protects against UV rays(UV400, highest UV protection for commercially available sunglasses) and they're ANSI rated ...They were listed as having a "navy blue" lens, and I was wondering if I could find a 7 dollar alternative to the expensive brands out there...I mean, who wants to pay 150 bucks for some grow room glasses? I couldn't even find any Lumii's for under like 40 bucks.....

Well, turns out, I was right...best 7 bucks I've spent on my grow in years...As a matter of fact, I can't believe I haven't HAD these for years...haha...I don't have a link for the exact pair, but I'm pretty sure any darker blue safety lens would work.

I picked an ugly plant with some issues to highlight how brilliant these glasses are, and what a good investment for the price.

Apparently in closeups it eliminates the HID bars in photos too! But wider angle pics still show bars..Yet DAMN! What a huge fucking difference! Highly recommended. 5 stars outta 5.

The cheap "hd" glasses at gun shows work too. Usually $15.
Yeah, I think the pair I bought on eBay might have been for shooting as well. I just searched for "blue lens safety glasses", and picked the darkest blue lenses I could find...lol...Stoked on the purchase, for sure, and I can't believe I've just been using regular sunglasses till now when working in the room.

But yeah, protect your eyes, guys and gals.
