Total newbie here been coming to class and studying but have a question. I have a xtrasun 400w MH ballast using a radient hood. the bulb i have is an 400w MH Hydrofarm agrosun. it has 40000 lumens. question is, will this bulb be good enough to veg and flower? ballast is MH only(traded 3g's for it) Only doing 2 plants(bagseed) 1 from a bag of strawberry cough and the other unknown.

Just use the MH and see if you even like growing its not for everyone.I use a mix in my flowering 1hps x 1mh,the ones that recieve more of the MH seem more frosty.i did a test a few yrs back on here and was 400w x 1mh x 1hps really not alot of dif.except more frosty on the mh.Also was using a hortilux HPS bulb.

ty guys appr advise will upgrade to dual ballast when cash presents itself. but for a 3 gram trade though i came out ok? ballast, hood, cords and bulb. other wise wouldn't have anything
