Just got back from radio shack, got a solderin iron, some small screwdrivers, some thermal compound...gunna give my first attempt at crackin open the ps n fixin the YLOD...hope this shit works!

Well tore the ps3 apart twice, cleaned and coated those two chips on the motherboard with thermal compound, twice, heated the motherboard with a hairdryer...twice. And STILL no success! grrrr, no weed either...wtf is up with this day? :wall:

The very best one I have EVER played is 'oblivion'. It isn't that great raw, well it is.. But anyways, I think you can get it with steam, but its better just to torrent or buy, its like 10 bucks. Anyways, its like a first person role playing game.. Its weird, like you are in midevil times in this giant empire, and it takes you like at least 12 hours of real playing to even walk from one side of the game to the other, and it is completely free roam with 1000's of quests to do that are like extremely in debth. If you get mods, there is mods for literally everything, you can have your own pot farm with one of them, you can enhance the graphics like CRAZY. Make the whole landscape jaw dropping.. and get more monsters and stuff to spawn. Seriously, best game I have ever played. Just get nice pc parts and play this game it is insane, and when you are naked its better than sex.

finally, somebody who doesn't recommend bullshit. rollercoaster tycoon, really???

Oblivion is supposedly the best game ever produced, and it's hard to argue against it. it's AMAZING. i don't even own it yet. but i've played through about 30% of it, and that much took me the better part of a year playing on and off.....

Crysis is also good, you need a good computer to play it.

fallout new vegas is supposed to be badass too. haven't ever been a fan of that game series though......

if you want a little bit of everything, Oblivion is the way to go. it's RPG, action, at times shooter, strategy......

if you like strategy, starcraft, and starcraft 2. i personally like the entire Total War series.

Crysis is great! I have played both the original and the expansion and you cannot go wrong really.

Oblivion is a great game. There are a ton of mods for it that extend it even further than the original game.

Played Starcraft and Broodwars...also great fun. I am playing SC2 right now and it is pretty good. Very similar in play to the original, but the way you can build things up between scenarios makes it a great improvement!
