good set up? scrog

I am starting to germ one blueberry og and one blue mistic .. i have a 400 watt mh and hps .. my scrog is set at about 6 1/2 inches above soil level .. i plan on topping once and then fim on the 2 tops so that would b 8 colas with only having to cut 3 times. (I think) i will b lst as soon as possible before it hits the screen and will stop lst a week into flowering .. i will start flowering when the screen is 60% full .. i will also be using sensi grow a+b for veg and jungle juice, carboload, and overdrive for flowering... i am using a soil medium as u can c (I have it in trash bags to preserve freshness idk if that will matter tho) .. last but not least i am using 5 gallon smart pot .. 1 1/2 gallon fox farm ocean forest, 1 1/2 gallon fox farm happy frog, 130 grams of Coco coir, 1/2 gallon perlite and 1/2 pound of earthworm castings.. i also made a c02 generator (the tube coming out of the fan)

I've had better luck with roots organic soil medium. Requires no perlite mixing and just seems to breath better. Ffof has started to be outsourced as their own dirt source was used up. Also ffof seems to hold the moisture more in a clay like manner.

if you are going to veg them and top them you are going to need to raise up your net a couple of feet, also raise your light,
do you have a exhaust or air intake?

Well i only want to veg til about a foot without a scrog so i figured I'd do half that height ? Am i wrong? And i have my light about 9 inches above soil level. That's what I read on a light chart for growing cannabis.. and no I have no exhaust

you said your net was 6.5 inchs above the soil, you will get at least twice the size of the plant in the initial stretch on most strains, to top it and put it in your plants will be as tall as the net is high
so if they go in at a ft tall they will be at least two ft tall and your net will be around their ankles
yea you need a constant change over of fresh air to develop bud and keep your plants healthy

I have a fan. . And circulation won't b a problem. . What height do u suggest I set my screen at .. for these 2 strains .. i have 21 inches wide and 3 feet tall of space ...
Only problem i think I'll have trying to get a good amount of bud for these 2 plants for this grow is cuz i only have a 400 watt mh/hps

Better to setup SCROG once you get plants going and after topping. Then you see how many bud sites are developing . You can start LST also as they grow. Also easier to toss males if not in netting. There is a lot of plant management you can do before netting them up , you got plenty of time before flowering . Looks good.

Well my seeds are femenized so I'm not worried about males. . And setting the scrog after i get to growing and training sounds like a better idea so I'll have space to train until I'm ready to scrog

the cost versus the co2 production just isn't worth it, I have tried it before and found just spending the 35 and getting a exhale bagto be a better investment
