good source of light?

I have a heat lamp its not just heat its like.. light and shit and its 250 watts it gets extremely hott right away too. would this be a good source for growing indoors?

allright... well what do you think would most likely happen if i try to use it?

and whats the best heat source i can get with a budget up too $100 from like walmart or something like that.

Problem is that it gets too hot, so you would need to keep the light further away from the plant. But those lights don't give out enough light so your plant will stretch trying to get to where it can get the light it needs and in doing so would get closer to the light and get burned.

I had one of those when I first tried to grow a plant long time ago. That is what happened to me. It kept on stretching up to the light and get burned, so I would move the light further up. The cycle continued until I finally gave up.

If you just have a single plant, get some Compact Floros. The highest watts you can get at Wal-Mart. 6500k light spectrum (Blue) for vegging and 2700k (Red/Orange) spectrum for flowering. Should do you alright.
