Depends on the light but I think most manufacturers say 24 inches during flower? I could be wrong here but this is what I've seen over and over on light manuals (leds)

I basically raise it to where the light is just hutting the corners of the tent for full coverage and raise it as needed

I watched my buddy clone hundreds of hemp plants in one evening, they snip off the branch, take a razor knife and make a nice diagonal slice at the bottom of the stem, dipping in clonex and stick into a wetted root pod they trim off the leaves tips slightly put them in a small starter terrarium
They had about a 95% success rate in cloning and they sold about 25,000 starts last year

Well today's day 16 flower streaching is over I think might streach out a bit more will see, made a few minor ajustments I'll get into that soon anyways today was feeding day PH Perfect Technology Advanced Nuitrents:

Tarantula 4 ML ( Weeks 1 through 2 of bloom phase, LAST FEED)
Voodoo Juice 4 ML ( Weeks 1 through 2 of bloom phase, LAST FEED)
Sensizym 4 ML ( Weeks 1 through 6 of bloom phase)
Rhino Skin 4 ML ( ALL weeks of bloom phase)
Bud Candy 4 ML ( ALL weeks of Blom phase)

Anyways this is her basic feeding schedule and it's 4 ML per every 2 liters of water, today i gave her 3L with about 1/2L run off that's what's she's been happy with lately, so I decided to raise my pot up a bit with a couple styrofome pads seems to have helped me a lot I like where she's sitting now other than that the temperature and humidity are greatly in place so not much more to do than watch her grow have a nice day fellas looking forward to anything you may havery to comment cheers

I'm about 2 weeks behind ya lol. This is my first time NOT scrogging. still training, everything is the same just no net. I actually am noticing them just starting to stretch. They're platinum kush bagseeds from something I had bought to smoke which was bomb. Platinum kush isn't supposed to be a big stretcher but she's in stretch mode for sure. Just hope they dont get too much bigger than they are now. gotta have room to add more plants later. I'm new to perpetual lol. Learning the process

I agree with @oldskoolnewskool . Kinda hard to see but that was a good example in his pic. I'd check every couple days on that until u see the amount of amber u want.

Ha...same here for a while...until one day I just said fuck it...selected a cut...cut it...threw it in str8 plain water n walked away...after about 3weeks it finally rooted n rooted well...but I also had tried many diff methods with complete fail...i think lack of patience was my issue...idk but I always ended up with what looked like stems rotting in some kinda cloning stimulator after a couple weeks...ha
Ima seed guy anyway in the 2-3 weeks it takes to root a clone I can have a thriving plant from seed...but ive definitely lost some keepers from not being a cloner
