I just finished setting one of these up today. I dont have a lot of grow tent experience but this one seems to be good for now. There is some light leaks around seams. The material isnt terribly thick. I had a local hydro shop that carried Galaxy Grow tents(1680d) and that material was probably twice as thick as the AC 2000. It does have a pretty solid zipper on it as well. Just my 2cents.
Ive been winter growing my tomato/pepper plants in a dresser converted grow box the past several years with some good success. I run the AC 4in cloudline fan, and a hlg v2 rspec. An amatuer compared to most but i get a lot of good information from this community. Im just waiting for the day its legal and ill start my own mj grow.

I think it is going to be an original Gorilla Grow tent or the cheapest tent that fits my specs. Not sure if anything in the middle would be worth it.

I may build a grow cabinet instead of buying a tent - or build a cabinet to house the cheap light leaky tent. I imagine a 96”long x 24”deep x 84” tall cabinet could house a 2x4 flower area, a 2x2 veg area and a 2x2 mother area.

I'll be curious of the actual quality of the tent they are branding as theirs. It looks like many other tents on the market but with their logo on it. Fancy marketing, drawing like photos and claims aren't the same as quality you can see and actually feel. The main reason I'm skeptical is because their prices seem really really cheap. Their ventilation equipment seems to be equally as cheap (price) compared to other equipment that is of equal specs. How can they produce products of equal quality and make money without cutting corners??

I've been interested to try the AC Infinity tents but they are all out of stock with no ETA available. I've been using a Plant House grow tent from Growers House for a few years and it's pretty nice quality and fairly cheap. They had an uncommon size which I wanted for my veg tent (2.5'x5').

I will add this angle to the conversation as well, when I started looking into tents and Gorilla $$$$ vs others I was also considering I wanted to get setup & going and if I went with a POS tent then that meant tear it all back down, order another, wait...... setup again, hope you're happy with it, then maybe you can get your grow run off & running.

So rather than dicking around to save a few bucks I went with the (maybe overhyped) more expensive option that people were raving about. Sure I might be able to find something suitable and cheaper but I was lucky enough that price wasn't my biggest consideration. I wanted the best so it was a once & done ordeal...

For me, thickness of fabric, metal frame AND metal corners specifically were the main thing I was looking at since other well known names were making metal frames but with shitty plastic corner pieces. I'd never buy something with key structural parts made of cheap plastic.

I have found Opulent tents to be cost effective. Setting up a new tent, if one fails eventually is pretty easy, at least 4x4 or smaller.

The zipper config on gorilla tents makes it easy to diy fix if something goes wrong-you can just get strips of velcro and stick them on yourself-they are straight lines. Those cheap tents with the curving zipper are done for if the zipper goes bad. The other big differences are the amount of weight it can carry-which is about twice what the cheap tents can carry, which is nice considering the things you have hanging in there might burn your house down. Lastly, the one gorilla lite tent I've had experience with didn't have any light leaks-but those aren't usually a big deal to patch up either. And as someone else said, YES get some zipper lubricant no matter what kind of tent you use.

The mylar materials used on both tents are nearly identical in density. With the extension kit you get a taller tent at 91 inches vs the 80 of the Infinity.

My AC Infinity 8x4 is much more similar to the gorilla tents than my 5x5 is. If you have the space, they are spectacular.
