Gorilla seedbank review

I have a question for Gorilla Seed Bank, I just noticed on their website that on the FREE seeds you get with orders, it says in fine print at the bottom of the OG KUSH description it says after the legal disclaimer that the seeds are genuine and the real thing, but its illegal to germinate or grow them and if you do that you will not get results like the description, if they are genuine and truly are OG KUSH feminised auto flower seeds, then why will they not produce typical results? Are the seeds insecure about their legality and does the stress from their status cause them to become weak and impotent? Or is this just a way of giving away crap seeds and sticking a high profile name on them?

Its part of the bullshit disclaimer that they have to write on everything they do. Like eating undercooked or raw seafood may cause health problems at oyster bars. Legalities, in most places its still illegal to grow. I also have a hard time believing that people sending freebies out to a community of photographers would send junk. Just sayin.

On a side note, id like to thank sherry from the GorrilaSeedBank for my fast and correct delivery. I think it took a week and a day. Cant wait to start em up.

I understand the legal part, its the won't resemble the description part in curious about, it doesn't say that in the other descriptions. But it does say that on the one that they are giving away with every order.

Most of the stuff ive ever popped has looked pretty close. Sometimes the buds are smaller than the pictures and sometimes theyre way bigger, and sometimes they take 16 weeks to finish and not 10.... Its not a clone. Farming is gambling.

It's legalese because the UK says you can sell cannabis seeds, you can own cannabis seeds, but you can not germinate a cannabis seed.
And, seed banks that encourage illegal activity can get shut down, so we have to toe the line on the website.

On forums, we go rogue a little bit - me especially since I live in the states & work as a contractor rather than an employee.
I don't reckon anyone from the UK home office is coming to get me over something I can deny.

The bit about they won't look like the description is so that we can't be accused of encouraging people to buy because they think the bud in the picture is what they're going to get. Yes, there are a lot of stupid people out there and they could potentially claim fraud.

And, it also covers phenotype variation. Every seed has the potential to be exactly like some combination of the parents, but you can't guarantee it.
Otherwise, people would not end up with all those amazing cut-only strains like Gorilla Glue & Girl Scout Cookies. Even Cheese is a special Skunk pheno.

So, anything on the site that seems completely ignorant & ass-backwards is due to stuff like that. Just apply a little common sense & read between the lines. If it's still not clear, ask away - we'll answer just about anything.

Sherry

Edit: It does say that on a lot of other descriptions, but we mix things up & we've been doing more about the legal aspects lately with warnings to not grow. We haven't used the "won't look like this because your dumbass is getting a seed & not bud" line in quite some time. It's probably on more of the stuff we put up about 18 months ago.

Thanks Sherry , for clearing that up for me , now maybe you can answer something else I've been curious about, lets say that hypothetically someone did germinate one of those OG KUSH seeds and it grew up and was a beautiful auto female and they then pollinated it with an average male of unknown origin, would the seeds produced be , A- auto fem . B- auto reg . C- reg . D- random combo of above . or E- unknown. Just curious ?

The free OG Kush is a photoperiod female.

However, if it was an Auto & someone bred it with a male, they would be semi-automatic regulars.

Even if the mother is from a feminized seed, once bred with a male, you're back to regular seeds unless you "feminize" them.
The photoperiod male would drop the percentage of Ruderalis, but not eliminate it completely.
That would mean all seeds would likely have some degree of autoflowering tendencies, but many would require you to drop the hours of available light below 20 or even 18 hours before they would bloom.
I would expect to get several phenos that vary in their automatic capabilities, but never dropping all the way to full photoperiod unless you selectively breed out enough generations to stabilize.

If you're just looking to create some seeds for your own use so you're not buying more, you'll probably be happy enough with the results as long as you're not expecting to get feminized seeds out of it.

All that said, I'm not a breeder (unless you count accidents) & Gorilla Seeds doesn't breed any seeds - we're a reseller. So, all of that is just from what I've learned by reading & common sense - not because I've done it.
