got a hermie in a room with 18 plants but the hermie seems managable?

the plant generally looks really good and I guess that's why I didnt notice until today but on the lower branches theres a bunch of little balls growing out some of them opened up already unfortunately so I dont know if my other plants are going to start making seeds or not yet. I already know the answer while making this I guess but would anybody here try picking all the little balls off and trying to let this go for a few more weeks? it had so much more potential to get fat it's only been flowering for a few weeks.

If it is 100% a hermie get it out now! (It looks like one from photos). I wouldn't pick them off there will be pollen sack somewhere that you won't see and it will release pollen and ruin your other plants. It will stop putting its energy in to producing buds and start producing seeds, it will be depressing to watch it deteriorate. I recently had one among 34 plants, took it out immediately and other plants were fine.

damn ya I pulled it. the plants surrounding it all had at least one or two little sacks growing near the bottom tho so now I don't want to pull 3/4 more just because they had one or two. the one plant I pulled had them everywhere it seems to be a genetic thing and a few of the balls opened up already I assume that's why there was a few small sacks growing on the surrounding plants..

You can try..just dip your fingers in water if you pull almost developed ones. Keep them off to the side and not too much air on them.

I pulled the one that has heavy sacks everywhere. It was only 1 thought just going to keep a super close eye on all the neighbouring plants now and pull the sacks off as they grow and hope the buds keep fattening up and dont switch to seed production. that or toss out half the room over a few sacks.. the 4 neighboring plants to the hermie all had 1-2 sacks starting to grow near the bottom but I plucked those off carefully.

Found one myself today, killed immediately with prejudice. Rather sacrifice one than lose a crop.

If it was me,I'd strip all plants up to the top node or 3 and ride it out..
Now if you are getting nanners in the buds, then you need to start checking things..

I killed it too but now finding other nanners on the other plants. think I'm fucked
Possibly by the end of harvest most will have hermed if you already had 4 do it already and for this reason the advice is to manage not kill them.

To manage herms simply and carefully remove any sacs and nannas, you will get seed but seeded bud is still pretty fine product and seeds can be easily removed after drying and before you smoke each bud.

Genetically all plants are able to herm and over time you will get better and see it stop largely. Some strains will suit you better than others but thats a matter of ease to grow and not a genetic trait.

After these initial grows and management you will have gained mucho experience and insight and then pass on the info for others in your situation.

If you want to kill plants go ahead but so far your seeing a substantial part of your grow bite the dust and hence why i refer to how to manage herms and still get a decent harvest.

Hope this helps and gives you confidence to fail a little before you find success in subsequent grows :-)

Many of us just put up with herms and seeds to start and enjoyed the bud off it, too much kill the herm advice its hard for growers to put it into context and it perpetuates one idea not a whole volume of knowledge advice and truth.

Ive seen too many kill their whole grow because each plant hermied at different times and they were too eager to hack down thinking that this was the way to avoid herms instead of longer term skills and management.

For homegrownand not top shelf medical grade sensi seeds are fine - would you turn down getting high just because of a few seed because i wouldnt.

I get a lot of this advice from simply carrying on no matter what nature dicks me with and over time find it very hard to get a herm let alone seed so the future is always bright if you got the patience to fail a little in the present.

Good luck and keep growing :-)

you're right i did and I under estimated it. I dont know what I was thinking
My flower tent has a ton of pin hole leaks, and some a bit larger than pin holes. Easy solution, black plastic wrapped the tent, no more light leaks. Just cut and tape edges for doors and such, simple cheap and effective
