I checked my plants this morning and found this spot on my larger of two plants. I'm 15 days in and have mot giving any nutes yet, just water. Could this me a calmag defiency? I was planning to to start grow nutes today, at 1ml. Would that be a problem? Here's my grow setup for all the info you need.

PC grow box
3x - 15w LED light rails (45w total)
(Red(630nm): Blue(460nm) 2:1 ratio.
2 exhaust fans and 1 intake fan (seems like it has good airflow).
Temps: 77ish degrees F.
Humidity: 40% with lights/fans running. 50-60% during dark hours.
Light cycle: 20/4
Soil/nutes: BioBizz light mix soil, bio-grow, bio-bloom.
Pots: 1 gallon round, plastic.
Water: distilled

Doubt it's cal/mag this early on. Possibly overwatering. what's your ph? You do need to feed them too tho mate. Oh and stop using distilled water, it's a very acidic. Buy a ph test kit and adjust the water with ph up or down AFTER adding nutes.

I had this same thing happen to me at that age, im pretty sure mine was from introducing nutrients for the first time, so I backed off and flushed it, then a few days later I re-administered nutrients at a much lower level and things have been fine since

No spraying or misting. I think the twisting is due to higher humidity occurring during the dark hours. It's getting up to nearly 75% because right now the fans are not running during those 4 dark hours. Getting a second power supply today to run the fans 24/0 independently from the lights.

I was going to feed this with 1ml of bio grow with about 250-500ml of water since that's about all my pots will hold. I'll also test the before before and test the run off too. Is that a good plan you think?

I haven't given her any nutes just yet primarily cause they are autos. Was planning to today though. Just the lowest amount I can measure, 1ml to about 250-500ml of water.

Is spraying or misting a bad thing???

Run those fans especially during dark periods. High humidity, low light and low ventilation you're asking for mildew, mould or rot.

Check the n-p-k of the soil you're using. Adjust the nutes to suit so you're not oding them. Get a ph test kit and a tds meter. Check your levels and keep em in range.

Thanks. Yea, I just never realized that before I guess. And not sure why my box doesn't come with 2 power supplies. Hopefully that's not a fungus/mold issue.

Yes, it may bring humidity up but the specs of water act as a magnifier and you leaves will burn from the light.
oooh.... maybe that's what it was, because I misted the same day I introduced the 200w(equiv) 3800 lumens CFL.... good to know. how far from the plant should the lights be, im running that one and four 100w(equiv) 1600 lumens (each) CFLs ~ not to get off the subject....

I have everything except the tds meter. I got all BioBizz products. Soil, grow and bloom so far. I did that hoping things would stay in range easier.

You say you're using a PC grow space? Buy another low wattage psu. Just bridge the atx lead green to black with a paper clip or staple. That'll be fine for a few PC fans

Keeping the same brand make life much easier, they've already done the hard work for you. Tds can make your life easy too

Yea, I'm using a box I bought from mrgrowpro.net. It already has two power connections coming out the back, one for lights and one for fans. They use a 12v power supply. I emailed the maker and he said just to get another 12v power supply to connect to the fans. It's should be here today from amazon. My dark hours are up in about 45 mins so everything will kick on soon. Then I will feed them with what I mentioned above.

Also, about that spot. I was thinking about it more. When I watered a few days ago, I did get a little on a leaf or two. Maybe there was a droplet on the leaf and the lights have caused that. Also I'm using distilled water so I retested to today and its about 5.0 maybe just slightly higher. I will see what the tests are when I add nutes and test before and after.

Got a new spot over night, looks pretty bad like the top is going to fall off. What do you think. Could laying up against one of the LEDs do this or is it a nute problem?
