Congrats to your nephew. I work with student athletes as part of my job. It’s hard for people outside these realms to understand how hard these kids work and what rare determination and focus they possess for their age, day in and day out. No quick or easy way to become a great athlete in any sport. Success at higher levels takes much more than just talent, and at times it’s a real head game also. Congrats and good luck to your nephew. In my experience, other than injury, the tears are almost always short lived and generally serve as motivation for the next step. He sounds like an impressive kid and I hope he keeps kicking ass.

True!.. Alot of HS athletes have other distractions like girls, parties, experimenting with drugs/alcohol, etc. But his level of dedication is rare. If he wasn't training in the gym, practicing 3 pointers, dribbling maneuvers, or watching replays of previous games, he was eating or sleeping. Gonna check in with him shortly and see where his head space is at.

Evan won thier Tourney for the WestMoore Jags, he got MVP, and is 92 points away from breaking Westmoore's all time record with 9 games to go, a playoff and a tourney game. He averages about 20 points per game, and Paige told him "You better do it in 4 games". Here's a post game interview.........

Congrats! He makes it look easy. I hate to knock his team but he didn't look like he was getting much help there. His teammates looked lost, at least on that play.

Yeah, they all worked good together, but sometimes it depended on who else was on the floor with him. He worked really well with the Loper brothers.... believe it or not, there were 3 Loper brothers on Team Rouge, and WestMoore.
