GPS - Which One?

I'm thinking about getting a GPS/navigation system. There are so many brands out there... would appreciate any recommendations. Was looking at the Garmin StreetPilot series, but am far from making up my mind.

Sorry... for use in car with voice directions. Something portable (not in-dash) so can transfer to another car. Most seem to suction onto inside of the windshield.

I've read how people have jailbreaked iPhones to run navigation apps. This would be cool and would give you more functionality for a little bit more money, but don't want to risk buying and then bricking an iPhone.

I have an older model magellan that I use for getting to clients homes and businesses. It can be programmed on the computer for all the stops I have to make in a day, and i can also use the touch screen to enter location addresses. Here is the current version of the model I have:

There are better models that have traffic avoidance and bluetooth and mp3 playback now. This model is $162.00 US and comes with maps of the lower 48. It has been great!
