Grams per watt

I don’t often call bullshit, but on this I do. Don’t care what your strain is, you’re not going to pull 6 pounds from 1000 watts hps with a normal veg time.

No one said. Normal veg time. It takes time for the plant to biuld up enough growth hormones to push that hard.

Ive grown for 10 years with HPS and LED and i have never even heard anyone say something like that, never mind say it isnt hard.

It is absolutely doable, just not in a 5x5
Extra veg time is the same as less efficient light in flower more or less. It doesn’t matter if you’re saving money on electricity per unit but have to run them 3x as long for the same result.

veg time is one of the largest factors for yield for plants individually, but your space is your space and if you fill it up with one or a thousand plants, it’s going to fit the same amount of bud if it’s maxed.

I stopped caring about gpw a long time ago because I realized I’d rather be less efficient, stack more light in, and pull more weight. My goal has never been to grow less weed Or to save money on my grow because generally the more money I put into my grow, the more weed I have every harvest.

it’s a shitty metric anyway because If you’re using your space optimally, space is what becomes the issue. In all of my current flowering spaces, I’m not light limited, I’m carb and space limited. For reference, the corners of my canopy get over 900umole the tallest plants are about 1200 regardless of their location in the room.

It’s called blue dream and it’s shit....people grew it for a while before realizing it was shit. Big bud probably would yield up there too.

I think you need to reread the comment so you can separate the two thoughts there. If you stick a 1k de up in the middle of a 10x10 foot room with ceiling high enough to get coverage and flower out a plant that takes up the space I bet you’d pull more than 6#. It’s be larfy shit, but you could do it. Lol

3gpw is a lot. Not impossible. But you’re not going to be using your light coverage optimally for sure due to Space restrictions.

You also need to understand that using multiple lights drastically affects light intensity and coverage. Hence commercial grow rooms. So you’ll be able to pull 2gpw easier using 2 1k de units than just 1. The more you add Th e easier it gets.

5x5 space with 6 in cubes is 100 plants under a 1k with a 8 week veg you only need 60 grams a plant, 5 ft of head room

If it was guys would be doing it and posting pics. And yet i have never even seen 1 guy make the claim, until now

4# in a 4x8 is sort of a good bar. But not crowded as far as it goes. 2.5-3 with really dense flowering strains, is pretty much maxing out a 4x4 space in a 4x8. Again, it’s easier to pull better gpw in a 4x8 than 4x4 due to the multiple lights sources increasing light intensity over a larger space with the lights higher up so the heat at the canopy is also lower.

I’m actually referring specifically to de because of my personal experience. I always had se 1ks in 20+ light rooms pretty close to the plants. I honestly love the de height requirement as I hate moving lights.
