hey ,i was just wondering when you read about grams per watt ,does that mean grams per watt per plant or per grow or meter sqaured or what?

And is .5 g per watt a realistic target for a 250 hps?

the rule is just that 1 watt = 1 gram

250w = 250 grams

1/2 gram is the norm per 1 watt.
so if you are good you should get at a minimum 125 g's from your light

yes but per plant or over all ? so for 2 plants assuming .5 grams per plant..

is it 125 grams x2 plants equals 250grams or 125 grams /2 plants equals 62.5 grams per plant

Well that all depends, if you are working with good strains and say you have just 2 under a 250w light, with proper technique you will pull from .5g - 1.5g per watt. Your good growers pull 1g per watt minimum, I know a grower who pulls 1.5-2g per watt, very well tunes hydro system.

The ration is maximizing the available light. If you have 2 shitty plants no if you have 2 great plants and know what your doing than you should get 1/2 per watt no matter how many plants, as the 250 can only grow so much.
