Grandaddy purple seeds suck

Okay new here to the forum and my two cents. Not to be rude but saying GDP sucks because you got males from regular seeds is like saying a bag of popcorn sucks because all the kernels didn't pop!
So my next question would be can you please give a little more information on whats going on other than two weeks into flower two of my plants are male and I hope the other one is female. Starting three regular seeds and hoping for all females or even one female is like going to Vegas with three dollars in your pocket, I'm pretty sure you are gonna lose. As far as I know nobody has feminized GDP I would buy 10 or 20 seeds and that should get you a few females. But please give a little more Info on what the problem is.

I've grown them several times and they always turn out to be males its the only strain that I think doesn't have a good rate

Yeah, I ordered one of those GDP seeds a couple years ago and it turned out to be a male. Know what I did? I crossed that male with a female Blue OG and now I have some of the best smoke I could want. When life gives you lemonade..

i find that sex is largely environmental. for example
in one of my grow areas last year i planted 192 seeds of differing genetics. 180 were female.
i did 16 a month and usually got 15 fems back. reg seed

i also have really good success with dinafem, namely the cheese. i havent personally ran gdp. but schuylar convinced me to try it. one of these days ill get around to running it. she had a gorgeous pheno im dying to try

In my opinion and experience "purple" colored varieties are and always have been over rated. Showy and eye appealing for sure but purple strains just never cut it in the long run in my gardens.

I'm kind of believing that as well anymore. I've run a few different purp varieties and while they looked amazing, they just didnt deliver in the long run.

its over hyped and normally isn't worth the yield I just figured I'd grow a few of them out of the tons of other strains I do

Okay, so I did have 2 more of them in flower, one of them is now flowering and no sign of being a male so I've actually got one to go, now the other I'm still waiting on it to show, hopefully in the next few days.
