ty dave.haven't seen him yet he is a cross the state. didn't even get to see his pic on the hospital web site. going to have to get on my son about that. can't wate till he is old enough to chase. raha grandpa is going to get you. hope you get to see yours soonCongrats my friend. We just became grandparents this last January but didn't get to see our granddaughter until this last May (they're in Guam). Have you had the chance to hold your new grandson yet? And it's true, when I see my Dad with my nieces and nephew - his grandchildren, I scratch my head and wonder. 'Who is this love-able old geezer who only vaguely resembles the surly Dad I remember?'

Congrats!!! My grandfather was the world to me, this baby will grow up looking up to you, and following in your footsteps. Try to be as close as possible to the child... All I know, I learned from my grandfather. I knew everything they have, or ever will teach me in school, from him.

Well I can't speak for Dew-b (and I hope he doesn't mind), but as for me, becoming a father was a wondrous, life changing experience. I still have the surgical scrubs I wore when I carried him from the Delivery Room to the Nursery.
Becoming a grandparent is more of a proud moment that you feel for your child. It also allows you to get back at your kid cuz you can take the grandkid(s)...get'em all "sugared up" and give'm back and let them deal with the forthcoming mayhem.

thanks every one.this is the second best day of my life the first was seeing my son born . the third will be when my great grandkids are born. now i have to make my grow area kid proof. don't want little hands pulling plants. all of you with kid know how they get into everything. the poor kid will probly look like his dad. i can see me taking him to the mall he will get lost go to an officer then say officer i lost my grandpa
