Hi I'm a Arborist that is trying to grow some indoor Grape Ape India dominate marijuana. I don't have allot of money and I'm not the greatest with lighting but i figured out something that might work for me...

I have 4 GE T12 3000K Flours, 3400 lumen's each
also on the outside of my Flours stack I have 2 GE T12 Plant/Aquatic with blue/red spectrum, 1950 lumen's each

Also have a Warm 3000k 75W 2000 lumen's standard light on the side.
A Total of = 19500 lumen's
So as you can see I'm only doing Flours... Yeah and I'm hoping to get good buds???

Veg stage was piece of pie, Plant grew fast and Vigorous. I might have over fertilized with Liquid fertilizer first, leching helped me and not over watering or over misting. I gets hot in here now,100 degrees. I'm 4 days into early bloom/flowering. Humidity is low 40-50 do I need it higher? ALSO! some lower leafs have been browning and falling off. Is this normal??? Or might it be because its shifted to 12/12 and it needs more light to the flowers/buds below?

In the very tops I'm seeing white pistils emerging, down below in each inter-node there are buds that are growing with red hair coming out of them.

Anything I can do to boost flower??? I want big buds!!!

Thanks!:blsmoke:

I flowered my plants with fluros for years, although the buds were quite small and it takes longer to get a finished product bearing in mind you can go from seed to bud in 8-10 weeks with some strains under a hps/hid:blsmoke:

So anyway yes you can flower them but they will not be as good or as big.

Grape ape,
looks good for a flouro grow. I am amazed that you apparently vegged okay with lights in the 3500k spectrum, for vegging it is generally recommended to go with 6500k. Also you said its getting 100+, I think it is because of the mylar. My sister uses mylar (in a big open room) and told me to try it, I put it up wed. (Im at day 5 of flowering) and the temp went from its average of 78 to 102.... In 23 minutes! I tried different ventilation techniques, even left door open, didn't get below 98, so I ripped it all out, and my box is back down to 78. Good Luck, keep us updated.:peace:

Also Grape ape,
I too am using flouros, how long into the 12/12 cycle did it take you to begin to notice signs of sex? I have grown outside before and you wait so long you forget sometimes, but this is my first REAL indoor grow (tried before but didn't know about proper lighting, ventilation, etc so it never made it far at all) and like I said I am at flowering day 5 and no signs so far. BUT I am still using 4 6500k lights and only two 3000k. Just seeing how long it took for you, to make a comparison.

Ive grown the grape ape and its a nice plant buds could be a little heftier. The temp is going to be an issue and this is a northern cali strain from the original lavender and they dont take to kindly to heats excess of 80 degrees. The red pistols on the tops may be due to the heat from the light. I dont think you have enough light to produce the massive buds you desire. Might want to get a 400watt or at minimum a 250 HPS
