i forgot about grape ape. i'm still looking for info and comparisons wth grape stomper, krush & da purps.
under my halide (better for flavor! if you want to grow a fruity strain use halides) i got hints of grape from LSD (and a little haze catpiss in early flowering) joey weed C99 and especially from super cali haze. i only got a generic fruity flavor from SCH X C99 under my sodium. that bulb's going to be a spare, or maybe an early flower trigger 50:50, but my own experience and reading from several sources suggests a resonably white halide will give you the best quality. sodiums have higher output and will give you higher yield, but just like afghanis (if you'd rather be high than stoned) sacrifice real quality for higher quantity.
i was planning on doing 430w each of halide and sodium next, but i think i'd rather downsize my grow area and use full blue white. i only need a headstash.
try googling the strain to read other reports. i bet it was ape as i don't remember reading pepper in the flavor of other grape strains. grape and pepper doesn't sound as tasty as lemon or orange pepper.
i really want to get a vaporizer. the taste is better than burning, you don't stink your house up (i do bowl hits and exhale in a bunched up hoodie), you aren't inhaling C02 and butane or paper, and the high is better with less stone. if you get the right vaporizer too, you can make your bud last longer. i'm looking into those 4w wood towers that you put upside down bowls in plastic tubes on. they're supposed to be extra efficient, though they take half an hour to warm up. some owners put 'em on timers and leave them on all day.
a vaporizer is even more of a benefit with a flavor strain i bet. i had a hard time finding it again. my bookmark "mysteriously" vanished, but i want a purple days (gotta love that name) style vaporizer. they're only $150, possibly less, and very efficient. that should help in keeping the headstash longer and then be able to concentrate on growing some quality and restoring some fucking pride in craftsmanship into weed no one will be smoking ironically.
then, even MORE global warming gets offset instead of burning and converting all of that oxygen one makes back into carbon and dioxide.
