In this strain review I’ll be talking about the growth characteristics and more on the Grape Gas S1 bred by Compound Genetics and selected by CLTVTD genetics, a tissue culture nursery in NorCal.
Lab reports show 30% THC which can be confirmed on their website. Link
This cultivar more than doubles in height after flipping to flower and is a really fast rooter which makes cloning a breeze. Half way thru flower you will notice some really citrus/tropical terps which surprised me at first but then the terps develop more into a sweet grapey goodness!! She is ready in 60 days flat and seems to be an easy grower. Even keeping a mother plant seems to be pretty easy.
The name Grape Gas really fits this one as the smell translates to the smoke and it has that sweet grapey tastes with straight Gas on the exhale! I’ve always loved OG Kush and anything super gassy and this is a nice blend of sweet grape jolly ranchers with that Gas!! Candy Gas terps that pack a punch! For me personally I never built a tolerance to this strain. That 30% THC with all those terpenes have me blasted time and time again.
Another check in the box for this one is the yield. She throws down even if you flip a small clone. The 2 plants hanging below were flipped in 3 gallon pots at a height of 2ft including the pot and the yield was pushing almost 4 OZ per plant!!!
So if your wondering if Compound Genetics is a fire breeder that answer is yes!! I whole heartedly support this guy and his story. If you don’t know look up the documentary on YouTube. Also gotta shoutout CLTVTD genetics for their selection of the cut I’m running they do great work with tissue culture and providing clean healthy clones in California.
