Grassy smell while drying?!

Hey everyone. So I cutt two of my smaller bud pieces as an experiment (this is my first grow) trichomes were milky color but not all of them are like that so I am letting the rest of the plant grow. Anyhow it is day 2 and I have 2 trimmed bud pieces on a small plate. I noticed on day 2 the buds went from smelling nice (like they should be) to now like fresh cutt grass.. is this normal during the drying stage? I know when you CURE the Bud in jars there’s a chance of that happening but during the drying stage? Any advice?
I got that when I use to harvest too early, and trimmed the bud when it was freshly cut. Once I actually learned to be patient and let the bud finish, and trim once they finish drying, I never had that hay/cut grass smell ever again.

To my eye those trichomes in focus still look crystal clear. Based on that I think it needs more time.

Yes, letting it dry slow and than curing will do wonders. Good luck, hopefully it works out well for you.
Seconded... would recommend picking up those boveda (spelling?) humidity packs to foolproof the curing process if you're a bit unsure.

Great looking bud OP, you did well.
