Seeds not having germinated in 24 hours is a thing people are basing complaints off of now?

I think everyone gets it, GLG is not as fast as you would like them to be, and you're annoyed that printing of a shipping label does not mean the package is on its way and you should anticipate its arrival at any time.

That does suck about the missing freebie. All I can say is I emailed them when I realized I had seemingly forgotten to select a BOGO reward and within a day I had a new invoice that reflected they had fixed my screw up (different situation as I realized my mistake within minutes of ordering, but they were responsive).

I don't think anyone is denying there are faster options for people in a hurry. I don't personally see any reason that I wouldn't keep doing business with them, because speed-aside my experience has been 100% positive, but to each their own.
Exactly. Even friends can be slower than we would like sometimes, but that is no reason to reject them. ;)

I have zero issues with the speed of my order. I do acknowledge it wasn't as timely as it has been in the past, but there are reasonable reasons for it. I'm not even a little upset by it.

The seeds aren't even GLG's product (except for the bad dawg freebies), so I don't understand why you would blame them, even if it were an issue (not sprouting in 24 hours is not an issue). It would be a breeder problem.

Btw, freezing seeds has no impact on them. If anything, it protects them. Long term seed archival is done at well below freezing temps.

So lighten up frances. ;)

Ummm, no. A single freezing can be done, and is done by some breeders/sellers to make them last longer. Repeated freezings is bad.

I specifically ordered them when I did for a reason...we had above freezing temps in the NE and I figured I'd be safe...but when they did actually ship, weeks later, it was, and has been, below freezing. The post office doesn't protect against freezing. so my seeds have most likely froze repeatedly along the way, and it has obviously impacted them.

I'm not worried about the freebie missing as I doubt I'll grow any of them anyways. None are even marked as to regular or fem, or any idea of flower time...I'm not into mystery grows any more!

I'm not positive, but I think the biggest danger of taking seeds out of a freezer is condensation that moistens the seeds a bit. If they're sealed air-tight in a bag or container it might not be so much of an issue. I keep my seeds in the fridge but I usually try to let my seed tin warm up a bit before opening it up to prevent condensation. I'm not sure about cycling them between freezing and thawed though, that may cause problems by itself.

Bad Dawg freebies are all regulars as far as I know. He has a ton of great breeding plants and I've never heard anybody regret growing them out...lots of happy results. The fact that he's a breeder himself makes GLG a bit more appealing to me. He seems to have closer relationships with the breeders than other seed sellers. Bodhi in particular... he always gets the full spread of releases and the huge list of freebies to choose from is something other seed retailers don't get.

Same thing here...Not to mention I tried to contact them 3 times, and got NO response.

Then, my order was short one of the freebies that I was promised.

So between shipping way late after telling me it has been shipped, no communication, and the order not being filled correctly. How is that good service? To all who said the prices are way better...Not on what I ordered...The GLG and Katsu are the same exact prices everywhere!

And to all of you who said they will throw something extra in....they didn't, unless you want to count the stickers or pen.

And to those who blamed the post office....They were actually a day early, once it actually got to them.

Now. well see if they even grow, after being exposed to several freeze ups along the way. So far it's not looking good! I started about half the seeds yesterday. Not one has sprouted....and I sprouted 6 of my own seeds that are over 2 years old at the same time, and all six of mine sprouted.

New customers have a right to know. GLG may have been great at one time, but IDK how anyone can call this experience great!
Yeah I don’t think harassment usually leads to being hooked up, usually patience and being understanding. Y’all have too much time and energy on your hands.

Im just thankful to have a resource like GLG, think about it...

You cant buy this stuff at walmart

I had a little glitch with a pack from a breeder that came with less seeds than advertised, one email and a brand new pack along with a freebie was sent in like no time -- thats customer service, especially since the order was from last summer, but it was a sealed pack that stayed sealed until it was its turn, plan your grows, stock up on seeds and order well in advance and thank DB for his service to the marijuana community because we wouldnt have it without these guys

Seems someone left the door open and let a troll into this thread. It was bound to happen sooner or later. bongsmilie
There are a few people here who are upset with the lack of communication from GLG. Everyone else is trying to explain what might have happened or recounting good experiences with GLG. That is, it seems, everyone except you. You attack the person. Yes, I believe you are right. There is a troll here.

My last order had an issue with the seeds. Out of 10 seeds none germinated. I emailed GLG on sunday night, Monday morning I got an email back with a couple options. I could have my money back or pick up something else. So I picked something else. On Thursday I had my new seeds along with another pack of freebies. I usually just read and dont post on forums but I see a lot of people complaining about there service so I figured I would post a good one about service. I think I have ordered from GLG 5 times and the shipping speed isnt amazon prime but I think I have gotten my orders within a week of payment being received. Usually seems like USPS takes 3 days sometimes just to ship across the other side of the state.

Also I have never seen this. On the seeds that did not germinate I opened up one of the rapids rooters after a week and a half and the seed looked just like it did when I put it in there so I just kept on watering them and after 4 week two of them sprouted. One grew really slow like after a month it was maybe 6 inches before I culled it the other one started very slowly but eventually took off and seems fine so far. I just took clones off it so hopefully they turn out OK

Many (most?) seed banks would refer you to the breeder if seeds didn't germinate. I'm impressed (but not surprised) that @Bad Dawg took care of you rather than referring you to the breeder.

Maybe it's not all on GLG, USPS are slow as fuck ATM, my cash landed in the States 8 days ago, but it seems they like to take that shit on a site seeing tour for a couple of weeks before delivering it.................hopefully GLG will still fulfil my order, cos tracking that shit is getting tedious:wall:

If you haven't already, I'd recommend replying to your order confirmation with your tracking information. I generally do that any time I think it might take more than a couple days in transit. It will get added to your order as a comment and both you and GLG will have peace of mind that your order won't be cancelled due to nonpayment.

I've said it many times before and I'll keep saying it. I love to hate the USPS. Scanning tracking label barcodes is considered a "probably will, but no guarantees" part of shipping a package, not an essential part of their process. Like you, I've watched packages see more of the US than I have by taking the most ass-backward way of getting to MI. I've seen packages ship from Chicago and go through Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Ohio before coming back around to MI. USPS really earns their stripes as a government subsidized organization.
