In this Case Doc D.I have not smoked his weed. But I have known of him for a long time. And he is in a group of peeps that i know very well and have seen and heard of his work for a long time.
We just added Tarantula Genetics. I meant him at the Twenty20 Pheno Hunt challenge and at the Zlab family Reunion. Both times he brought samples and they were very very good.
3rdCoast Family Genetics won the best flower at the last 2 Zab family reunion Party's. Great stuff
Brisco's Bargan Beans I met threw here and he donated some fundraiser freebies that did real well.
And is well know here.
3Thirteen I have smoked his weed several times.
andSchwaggy Seeds showed there skills here, with great grows. And a great reputation.
Some come threw recommendations from other friends and breeders.
I try and search them and see what peeps have to say.

@Bad Dawg, just wanted to say thanks for adding Doc D to ur vendors list. I've been running his beans for a bit and his gear is . A lot of his beans are geared towards connoisseur of old school repro's and sometimes with a new school twist within his hybrids. He does a lot of work with Bodhi's gear, e.t, some Archive and Karma but mostly Bodhi hybrids and his own hybrids like "Frank's little beauties".
He will be retiring his Bandaid Haze ix 3.0 this year and will be working on his Bandaid Haze #7 BX3 as a replacement so, better get it while you can.
@mawasmada you can find some awesome Vietnam Black doppelganger within the Zang! that finish around 13 weeks and some quick finishing phenos at 77 days or so.

Edit: Given the VB rarity, the cost of that pack, and my lower level experience, I may shop for help in this project.

Yes, I did a test run of Zang earlier this year. Doc D had VB s1 and was giving it away as freebies. I wanted to find something to BX to so I chose Zang! You can still find the regular beans if you look but Doc has the authentic cut and I don't have to question the lineage so I choose to BX using Zang! You won't be disappointed but will have to do a hunt through at least 2 packs to find a heavy leaner. I also run snowhigh's gear like Shadow Lao but the price point is to restrictive to do a proper hunt.

Stardawg JJ x 3HD !! Awesome cross imho! Powerful, and one of the best tasting strains I've ever grown or smoked. I think I cut mine down at 65-66 days? I can't remember.
Longbottom Fighter f2 (Starfighter pheno) was great too. Lemony-limey, citrus and funk.
I'd still go with the former.
