Great NW Grow - Strawberry and AK from seed

Hello!!

Well, I'm back to the forums after a break with girlfriend, life, job... yadda.

I like to grow from seed. I clone my favorite but seed has a mystery for me I like.

This time I'm going back to two strains I've tried in the past. AK-47 and Strawberry Cough. Both of these were obtained from Gypsy Nirvana.

AK is interesting for an F1 it has some varied phenos. You can read about it on the Cannibus Cup results where in different years it won second best in both the Sativa and Indica categories!

SC is a great smoking very smooth bud. The high is great gets you very stoned but the Sativa dominance makes it an up and creative weed. It's supposed to be be purple predominant but I only got one fem out of 4.

I'm growing both strains under a simple ebb and flow to start out.

PICS

Popped, #1 AK , #2 Strawberry
One week later: SC, All, then AK

Technical:

I'll get into all the details as we grow.

I usually go E/F for clones but like how easy it is to use so decided to try it from seed. I've grown these strains under a constant recirc DWC and the nutrient requirements seem higher with the E/F.

Ebb and flow, 4x daily feed 15 minutes each
Nutes: Canna
Strength: (water here has base EC of 0)
Germ: water only.
72 hours .2
1st 7 days .4

2 weeks, 2 days.
I had never used these coco pots. I'm didn't want the soilless to get into the hydroton/pump when I make the change into the DWC Recirculating Black Buckets O Death:fire:. The roots have came through awesome and I will be transplanting to the larger buckets today. Bye Ebb and Flow!

AK 2 Weeks
Strawberry 2 Weeks
All
Roots

Canna Nutes EC .7-1.0 (current)
PH: 5.8-6.0
Temp 74-80 daytime, nighttime 68
Humidity: 54
Light: Agrosun 1000W (will add + 600 for flower) - Venting: Elicent eliptical 306 x 2 for light and room. 18/6.
Environment: I have an AIR-3 and C.A.P. humidity, temp and co2 controls but none really needed right now. I'm in there enough Co2 levels stay 500 or higher (need 350-400) so right now it's just a few oscillating fans, a light and a closet :).

Temp and humidity are based on the Vapor Pressure deficit. I thought it was interesting the levels in in greenhouse setups. Link to more about it below.
I'm also a big believer in good root temperatures. I run a root temp meter and try to keep them 74 or less. That gets harder when both lights are on.

Troubles: Struggled with a little bit of early nitrogen deficiency so slowly raised the EC to current level. I'll definitely go higher earlier next time with this setup.

Sorry man, realized this is going to be more of a grow journal than hydroponics so going to ask mods to move. Thnx.
