Green Crack Canuk Seeds in 4x4 RDWC 440w with CO2 and Light mover with H&G nutes

Hi,

My name is Jeff, and you guys are welcome to join me on this grow. For starters, I am using clones from my best performer from a previous grow in this setup. This time around I hope to optimize the environment and nutes to her liking.
Here are the vitals;

-clones from Canuck seeds Green Crack
-Secret Jardin 47"x47" DR120 tent
-Spectrum King 400 series 440 watts
-Homemade RDWC
-H&G Nutrient line. I will be utilizing most of the line for this grow, with the exception of some veg only nutes. I'm all about flowers, fuck veg.
-PPMs will be measured using the .5 scale. Temps reported in degrees Fahrenheit.
-RO water with 60 PPM base

I'm going to reserve the first few replies to add pics and a weekly updates. You folks are free to comment and ask questions after I reserve the first 3 replies.

10/20/2019
Day 1- As of today we are running lights at 50%. Nutes are; H&G aqua flakes, drip clean, multi-zen and amino treatment. Normally I would be running Roots Gold in addition to this line up, but I dont have any on hand so for now I just threw in a few ML's of Floralicious Plus that I had on hand. Also running Botanicare Hydroguard and Orca Beneficials
-300ppm
-Gave its first Foliar spray of H&G Magic Green

I must say, I’m a little ticked to discover that I can’t edit my own posts... This really changes the way I have to approach my updates. Any way, here are pics from week 2 day 1 of flower. I had to remain in veg a bit longer than I wanted do to some deficiency issues, but we are on track now.
We are currently running the full line up at 470 ppm (.5 scale). Lights at 100%.

WEEK 3 Day 1:

Was having some cal issues as the plants were going through their major stretch phase. The plants consumption of nutes dropped ppm’s down to 400. I added botanicare cal mag at 2ml/gal half way through week 2 to get ppms back up to the target. This cut from my last grow liked ppms in the 470-500 range at this phase, and that’s where we are starting out with the week 3 reservoir change.

Week 4 Day 1

Starting out at 500ppm’s this week and I’ll let it drift down to about 470 and maintain PH. Some of the fan leaves closest to the lights are showing rust spots. The lower leaves are looking healthy. The buds look healthy in general.

Week 5 Day 1

The nutrient schedule adds in Top Booster this week. I’m still keeping an eye on the cal/mag situation. The newer leaves coming out of the buds seem to be doing well, with maybe an occasional drawstring. The ppms this reservoir change were a little higher than I was comfortable with (550ppm) so I removed some water and added back enough fresh water to bring ppms down to 500.

Week 6 Day 1

The nutrient Schedule switches from Top Booster to Shooting powder this week. The buds are hairy and filling out nicely. I think I’ve got this deficiency situation in hand. The plants seem to like more cal/mag than the nutrient line provides. I have read this is common under LED’s, the Mag part at least. It is the most common problem I run into in my grows no matter the medium. During the previous week, after the initial res change, I replace consumed Ppm’s with cal/mag. If ppms dip again later in the week I top off with the schedule solution. This dance seems to work well enough. For future grows, I may start with a base of cal/mag at 100-150 ppms before adding the schedule solution, while still staying under 500ppm.

Week 7 Day 1

I actually lost a day midweek because I left my light dialed down. Otherwise, the buds are plumping up nicely despite losing some foliage. I’m seeing some signs of excess N, possibly from adding cal/mag midweek.... so I think I won’t be doing that again. The schedule calls for doubling the shooting powder this week which will mean less base (and less N) as long as I don’t increase Ppms.

Good work

Week 8 Day 1:

Buds are continuing to explode and upper foliage is continuing to dry up, but not such a rate that would cause concern. I continue to pinch off foliage that has browned up to allow light to fresh foliage underneath. I’ve had to support some of the buds that were falling over and blocking light to lower areas. At this point I’m going to safely make it to harvest. PH has been trending downward. I couldn’t check on the plants for 2 days and found the PH had dropped to 3.5.

GREEN CRACK I really like the smell how much longer are you going to flower? I started two days ahead of you I have found with green crack it will harvest nice around 8 weeks real good smoke, but if I wait 10 weeks I end up with about 20% more weight

This cut has a nice strong mango smell with a faint diesel smell, and fainter still skunk. The plan is 8 full weeks and 3-5 day flush. As long as I have 70-80% opaque tricomes, I think we are good. The buds really blew up this past week so I'm not going to rush to harvest as long as its gaining weight.

Week 9 Day 1

Most of my grows end like a scene in a movie where the car engine is on fire, all the glass is shattered, tires flat, finally powersliding onto the edge of the cliff, where I must carefully extricate myself and leap to safety before the car plunges into the abyss. This grow is no exception.

Most of the big foliage is shot, but the buds are still bulking up. The tri comes are about 70-80 cloudy, but some of the heads look they are still forming. I’m going to go forward for about 3 more days at reduced ppms (350-400) then begin a flush.

Not much of an update today, but I have been flushing for 3 days and harvested about 80% in my first pass. I’ll post a final weight after I get everything in the final cure phase.

Final weight.... 375 grams of very close trimmed bud. Unfortunately I didn’t hit my 1/1 GPW goal. I could have done a looser trim and upped the final weight or included more stem, but I think I would still fall short. Prepping for my next grow now, stay tuned.
