Green hair like thingy

hello!
I recently planted my first cannabis plant....
its almost a month old...
it is growing too slow but it is growing......
i dont know anything about it as i got d seeds from the bud...plus in india, they dont tell you whether its sativa or indica(as they themselves don't know anything)
there's this green hair like thing coming out...please tell me what it is...

AND
also i want to keep the plant as short as possible so also help tell me trick or something.....

My Setup is
as i am living with my family....
i have kept the pot outside my window(east facing) where direct sunlight comes only for an hour or so....plus at night i have made my super undercover growbox thing where i have one 20W Phillips Tornado and a 8W local CM/L with one computer fan for airflow(full speed)
this all is for vegging

and for flowering
i am going to keep the plant out from 6AM to 6PM and then in my dark cupboard .......!!

i know its lame as F
but still i gotta hide it from my parents.....too young for this things(fifteen)

what green hair thing? all i see is a small plant that aint getting enough light. yet is healthy ish...

The green hairs I think your seeing are called stipules. They are found on both male and female plants. They are just part of normal growth and are not signs of it being a female.

Sorry but that's all the information I'm willing to give you, seeing as your only 15. If your plant does turn out to be female, your going to get caught. Your room and clothes will reek of weed.
