Green layer on top of the soil

Im using guano soil from plagoron and on top of the soil there are green areas forming.Is it alge?. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

The ph is 6.3

Most likely algae. Usually an indication of over watering. Watch for fungus gnats. Try to let the top of the soil dry between waterings.

it sounds like the begining of something without being able to see it.

can your emove the areas of green?
you might want to get a pop bottle and cut the bottom off and use it as a funnelfor watering, that way you avoide weeds or any type of growth. i all ways water from the bottom and let it soak the water up. no weeds or alge

I removed the green areas and dusted some cinnamon on the top of the soil...It looks okay now

I'd have just tilled the top layer of soil but it's harmless stuff.

Once the plant shades the soil the algae should stop growing
