Interesting. I was under the impression that green was a spectrum that plants can’t use. If you have to enter your flower room at lights off the recommendation is to use a green light as to not disrupt the sleep cycle.
I checked out rapidled to see what the light was about but it didn’t really describe what it’s use was. Someone in the review section stated they use them for “photosynthesis inhibition”.
I’d also be interested in others thoughts on this.
NASA put out some research a while back that showed green light enhanced growth https://ntrs.nasa.gov/search.jsp?R=20050164131
If you want to make the blurple better I think you’d be better off adding a couple of full spectrum strips or cobs to the blurple. And depending on the blurple some UVA chips or maybe some far red for sunset uses.
Reptile lights are good for UVB which has been shown to increase potency. Not sure how effective the reptile lights are. I have some Solacure bulbs that I was playing with but they are really powerful. Too much and you can fry your plants. Basically your giving them a sunburn which they respond to by producing trichomes.
Ok, any knowledge on the effectiveness of uv-a only (uv LEDs)? I've seen them as low as 365nm but most are about 395nm. Also they tend to be expensive. I would hate to add them for little to no results.
