Strain: Lemon Skunk by Greenhouse seeds
Growth:
Nutes: Foxfarm
Yield: Medium-high
Bag Appeal: very frosty
Smell: Sour citrus
Taste: Light lemon
The High: Nice anti anxiety sativa

Comments: I grew out one feminized GHS Lemon Skunk in my last grow. It was grown under a 250 watt HPS with 4 other plants. Even in this crowded environment it performed well. I topped it for 4 main colas, and it grew long running, frosty colas. The buds were a bit airy though. Smell during growth was a nice citrus. It finished at 9 weeks, and this was on the early side. After curing 2 weeks, the smell was more like orange. I used to grow Sensi's California Indica, and the smell is very similar. The flavor was light lemon, kind of like lemon meringue. The high is excellent. It's what made me get my act together and write up this smoke report. It's a very calming, relaxing anti-anxiety mostly sativa high. It's like 75% head, 25% body. Not overpowering, and just right in my opinion. Just the thing to unwind after a hard day. I still have 2 seeds left, and I will run them in my next grow. Word is there's a lot of variation from seed to seed, but hopefully they'll be similar to this one. :joint:

my last harvest was lemon skunk from gh as well. ive stayed away from gh simply because of all the negative comments. but i decided to go with it and boy im glad i did. lemon skunk really blew me away. although mines finished at 7 weeks i had an oz of dry weight. it was done organically and the taste was out of this world. i really enjoyed the high i got from it. i still have 4 more beans but im really not thinking about sprouting them anytime soon simply because i dont have a carbon filter and lemon skunk is by far one of the smelliest plant ive every done, i was really freaking out after the 3rd week of flowering. the smell is sooooo gooooood but damn soo strong that one definately needs carbon filters. good report bblunt and +rep.

Ghs really isn't as bad as everyone thinks buying seeds is a gamble your not going to win
everytime going to the boat not every seed is going to be a winner and they do have a couple of
Good ones glad u found a winner

the lemon skunk freebie was probably the 2nd biggest motivation for my last purchase after the sour cream UFO. i liked the sound of the strain in theory and nothing beats testing a controversial breeder's gear if you get it free. if it turns out my lemony jack's cleaner 2s live up to their hype and my expectations, i might just put off the grapes & fruit breeding session i wanted to start next fall and go lemon.

thanks a bunch for sharing your experience. i was particularly surprised by the mention of oranges. i always wanted to cross cali-o with lemony sativas like malawi gold & burmese to get an "orange haze". it will be fun testing it for sure, but i wanted to wait on it so i could get a clean breeding session this year because of all of the hermie hysteria in the greenhouse.

My lemon skunk from GHS was awful.
I gave it away.

Worse than Lowryder 1.

I tried some thst was killer, but mine was bunk.

wow. i have one in flower, and its looking sativa. the two in the veg, i put in threes last wee. they both have wider leaves, and are about ten inches tall now. waiting for more root growing time, maybe a week, and they go into bloom

i have three of those going. the sativa one has been in flower a month now. clusters of buds. no smell. the other two, i put into flower today. they are alot wider leaves, and stockier. both look, and smell preety much the same. i take it the longer ones to finish are the sativa one. its hard to imagine that its taste could top my jack herer, or the stone, but we shall see. anyone have a plant get a wide, narrow stalk? mine does. its in my albums. very weird. reminds me of the thing. lol.
