Arjan and his buddies are not breeders either; he is a marketing man that buys strains. Then they produce only feminized seeds due to their lack of viable breeding males and greed. Get some old school genetics from breeders that actually take pride in preserving their genetic line. Serious Seeds is a good example but a lot of good breeders have "re-named" some of the well know strains. For example Mr. Nice Seeds has one of the ORIGINAL White Widow's but Shanti call's it "Black Widow". Arajan also has a White Widow that was from OG stock but you see the two right along side, and taste the Black Widow you will know who the real breeder is.
I have a strain called Killawatt from Seedism and though it has a funny name it is simply the same old Hindu Kush that has been bred by the Cannabis College in Holland for over 20yrs.

Why buy mediocre GHS when you can find amazing genetics from so many other sources?

like other people have said because they are affordable and aside from maybe mandala you won't find seeds that good for that price. If the others are so great and compasionate then why do they sell their seeds for so much more, maybe it's THIER greed that causes people to buy ghs. My ghs are always some of the healthiest plants I start.

There is no dought that greenhouse seeds are great at what they do.The seed germanation rate is second to none with near 100% success rate,infact i can only remember ever haveing one seed from greenhouse that did not germanate and that was white rhino.My thinking on greenhouse is all good when it come's to the quility of there good's but there are just has good seed companys out there that are selling far better strains.I think that greenhouse buy there way to alot of the cannabis cuup victory's.Not many of the smaller seed supplyers can give cannabis away like greenhouse and provide free buses to there coffee shop's.My way of thinking may change when the greenhouse team finaly come out with the promised jack herer............................................................tyke...........................................................................................................

nice thread,just what ive been lookin for but im still shitting myself with the seeds,when i bought them i havnt ever heard about all this hermie and pheno stuff untill about 3 days after i got them
they germinated well 3/3 in under 40 hours 3 of them came out when i put light over them 1 died wich was my part my fault as the roots wer that long after they germinated 1 of the roots snapped when putting back in the root riot
so ive got 2 left was is growin fine an 1 is dying and this cant be the way im growing them because ive also got another 3 seeds in the same proporgator from barneys farm and they r growing perfectly with rapid growth
just hope i dont bump into the hermie or a bad pheno,hope to learn more from your thread

In my opinion Greenhouse offers some of the best seeds around, although I don't like that color coating stuff and I remove it before I germinate a seed that is coated with it.

I recommend the super lemon haze and the lemon skunk. I'm growing a few of GH's other strains right now too but they are only a couple of weeks old.

I can tell you from experience that Greenhouse is a good company, no hermies or any problems out of the ordinary for me, just healthy plants, vigorous growth and killer smoke.

Not long ago I planted two feminized Rocklock seeds from DNA (freebies) one came out male, not herm but male. I grew out their Sour Cream and I was skeptical at first because

the plant didn't look as healthy as I like them too, but it turned out really good. My favorite DNA strain so far is the LA Confidential which is slow in veg but quick to flower (if you

consider eight weeks to be "fast")

Here are some other companies that I like... Sannies Seeds, Hemcy Seeds, Nirvana Seeds, Barneys Farm, TGA Subcool, I think I am forgetting a few others

I think it would be helpful to say that I use soil mixes as a grow medium, if I had a nickle for every hydro garden that I have seen go bad I would have a whole bunch of nickles.

Soil is so forgiving, its like having plant health insurance. I easily understand how people might be put off by a company after spending their hard earned money on a pack of seeds

that didnt live up to their expectations, it's happened to me. I was dissapointed by DNA's Chocolope and Sharksbreath, but I didnt give up on them, now I have a real nice LA

Confidential that I have been cloning for six months now. Dont be fooled the companies that win awards win for a reason and I don't think that reason is marketing.

Just like all of the larger breeders from time to time they make a bad bunch of seeds. Dutch passion does it and so does green house. I think they get a lot of negativity from that. Also it's owner and managers seem like d-bags in all of the shitty ass "documentaries" i.e. giant infomercials they put out. Seriously, how could farmers in in the himalayan mountains and in african bush be growing GH seeds?

On a side note, I still want to try their super lemon haze and bubba kush, but there are a world of other breeders and strains I'd like to try first.

i bought myself 5 super lemon haze seeds from greenhouse and 5 violator kush from barneys seeds
ive had them for 12 weeks now from germination and ther still in the veg cycle
i dont know alot about hermie as this is my 1st time doin seeds my pre-flowers hav finally showed an the violator kush r showing male and female pre flowers and the super lemon haze havnt shown any male pre flowers
so does this mean that my super lemon haze will not hermie?
maybe a silly question but just want to be sure
im about to put them in flower in a few days,i will try and get some pics in

i would appreciate the help from u or any other person
ive tried asking a few people on this site and youtube but noone has shown with a answer

Greenhouse seed company sucks I"ll reiterate that, I've got a bunch of "Gay White Shark" here it looks like hell next to the Alien Kush.

I cannot make a statement about the quality of greenhouse or what breeder's are better because I am in the Colorado medi scene and I haven't been to Amsterdam let alone the cannabis cub and I haven't had a conversation about the logistic's of their particular breeding process and equipment or resources. What I can say though I's I have grown out Mexican cartel pot clone only strains and tried various seed company's. They all have some hidden shitty pheno's just like any other plant some of the seed's don't germinate and you get ugly seeds and plant's with all the breeder's. I know that they put effort into doing the best they can but not every seed has winner genetic's but all seedbank's have a that pheno of each strain out their that is a winner you just have to find it.

I'm fairly new to the game, but all my GHSeeds have been great. Here's the proof of my girls (under HPS 600):

I will start my short rant by first saying : Cannabis is a BEAUTIFUL plant even the silly looking ones are intriquing this can be overwhelming to the beginner. There are a lot of beginner growers out there; it has taken me personally 11 years to reach what I consider to be a rather basic knowledge in the cannabis plant.

Mr ShantiBabba MNS head breeder is the one that occasionally fight with Arijan & complains a bit.

GHS can't be all bad, shantiBabba worked their for 10 yrs.
And I'm sure they hire excellent breeders.
But I Didn't like my GhS lemon skunk much....

Yea I know..this is an old board but it comes out on top of some google searches. Bought SSH by Greenhouse and they S-U-C-K-E-D. Potency was crap, total weight was crap but worst of all 3 of the 5 were mutes ...as in not growing a full set of the first leaves. The kind of thing that happens with too much inbreeding, too much chemicals, and too much concentrating on giving prizes away to try your shit product.

My problem with greenhouse seeds is when they strain hunt they go to these way out places and give their genetics to local farmers in trade for local strains which wipes out/contaminates the local genetics. I watched one where they were in the mountains of India and they stopped by a farmers place they had visited years before and he wasn't growing his strain anymore he was growing the one they had given him.

ShantiBabba and Arjan teamed up, were growing a full white, the very first White Widow

they had a fight, Shanti split with his pheno, and later called it 'Black Widow'

Arjan found a spare in the back cupboard, and launched this new strain as his 'White Widow'

that left a bad taste in many of GHS fans

Second has to be the Strain Hunters(you tube)

Where these jerks and the self styled "King of Weed" Arjan travel to these 3rd world shitholes

trying to find these original landraces

but as viewers were led to believe that we would be able to buy these landraces from them at a later date

That didn't happen.

Rather they then tried to mix these new genes into their shitty phenos

with the above.. dismal results ..lol

A despret attempt by a marginal Dutch grow team, to launch themselves into the

north american weed market soon to be legalized ...failed

Green House Seeds quality is very poor - poor germination and their Strain Hunters are disappointing also They have gone down hill -- to bad ! Their site does give great growing information on their strains (test grows)

I'm laughing at the the above statement! They way that's written and considering that it's a strait sativa. The peckerwood that wrote that grew them wrong and the 3 leaf shit was him not being able to stabilize the plants!

Greenhouse still has some nice strains available.....I like a few of them.......If you went by what people say about many breeders and their shady dealings and breeding....There would be about half to maybe 2/3rds of the breeders on the "Tudes" list today!

I do have to say that I think he's a dick, personally!
Doesn't mean all his gear is shit!

But yeah, I tried for years to get him to come off some real Punta Roja landrace......he won't even trade fair!
I got it a few a years back from CanniCorner......

I got a free 3 pack of feminized (AK-47 X White Widow) called Kalashnikova from Green House in my Mr.Nice G-13/skunk order. Under magnification 2 were cracked and one was unharmed. Again a freebie so WTF. Grew her out and she was some str8 FIRE !!! A pleasure to grow too. Buds are totally encrusted with trikes. A velvet purple was under her leaves as a seedling that she grew out of. Still got about a zip left too.

I was so disappointed after watching the youtube videos to find out not one of the land races available on the website, infact I think the only strain mentioned in those videos which made it onto site was the church from Jam.
